As a Senior Technology Architect reporting to the Director of Data Governance & Enablement, you will define and execute the technology roadmap for TELUS’ data governance program. Collaborating with our team, you will establish the vision, goals, and milestones for this roadmap, focusing on system design and implementation.
You will play a pivotal role in integrating and optimizing third-party tools, driving automation initiatives, and leading the strategic evolution of data governance technology. By designing and implementing comprehensive integration projects, you will navigate the complex intersections of privacy, ethics, technology, and data governance, ensuring TELUS’ leadership in this space.
Here’s how:
- Support the DTO’s technology roadmap, providing expertise in solution architecture.
- Architect, design, document, and implement comprehensive solutions leveraging APIs and enterprise connections.
- Design scalable, secure infrastructure to incorporate data governance and lifecycle management requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive adoption of tools and technologies.
- Establish and report on technology roadmap metrics and KPIs to senior management.
- Stay informed about evolving privacy and data governance solutions, with a focus on scaling technical requirements.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8-10 years of progressive IT experience in enterprise architecture, data governance, and change management leadership.
- Proven ability to lead cross-departmental collaboration and platform scalability.
- Advanced expertise in database systems, SQL, and ETL processes.
- Experience with business process modeling and enterprise IT implementations.
- Proficiency in:
- Application development and DevOps
- API development and management
- System/database performance management
- SaaS tools (e.g., OneTrust, Collibra, AuditBoard)
- Data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- Cloud (e.g., GCP)
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence executive decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an innovative approach to challenges.
Great-to-haves:
- Experience integrating with APIs of privacy or compliance management tools.
- Team-building and training skills to support technology platform adoption.
Location: Any major Canadian city (Preference for Toronto - 25 York Street)
