We are the Internet of Things (IoT) Connected Fleet & Assets (CFA) team within TELUS Business Solutions, accountable for accelerating the growth of our core capabilities and creating new solutions for our portfolio.

 

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join the CFA team as a Senior Product Manager. This is an exciting role where you will strategize, orchestrate, and execute on initiatives to improve the portfolio profitability, value chain experience while introducing new innovative solutions to support our customers with IoT adoption and transformation. We are looking for someone who enjoys relationship building with stakeholders, has a bias for action, believes that leading through change and ambiguity is motivating and has a firm sense of accountability with a growth mindset.

What You’ll Do

 

Reporting to the Manager of the CFA product team, you are the CEO of your business that owns the P&L and can define ways to execute strategically and efficiently.

 

  • Vendor Strategy & Relationship Management: Lead as the primary point of contact for our strategic Connected Worker and Smart Transportation vendors. You’ll manage the roadmap alignment, ensuring their innovation pipeline meets the specific needs of the Canadian market and TELUS customers
  • Product Launch: Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for new product releases. This includes selecting products, setting pricing strategies, and ensuring technical integration with our value chain and support systems
  • GTM & Enablement: Work closely with Marketing primes and Sales to translate complex technical specs into compelling value propositions. You’ll be the subject matter expert (SME) who enables our sales force to win in the Public Sector, Enterprise, Mid-Market and SMB segments
  • P&L Management: Own the health of the product line. You’ll track Financial KPIs, manage churn through base management & upsell and identify opportunities for overall business growth
  • Business Advocacy: Use your business acumen to build business cases for new investments, demonstrating clear ROI to executive leadership
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Legal to ensure the sales force is enabled and the customer onboarding experience is frictionless
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends to ensure our portfolio remains competitive and anticipate Customer needs as part of their journey with TELUS

Qualifications

What You Bring

 

  • Experience: 7+ years experience in Product Management, preferably within Telecom, IoT, or SaaS. Direct experience in Connected Workers, Worker Safety or Smart Transportation is a significant asset.
  • Vendor Management Mastery: Proven track record of managing complex, high-value partnerships where you had to influence a roadmap.
  • Business Acumen: You understand the "why" behind the "what." You can navigate a P&L, set competitive pricing, and build a robust business case.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Familiarity with Agile product development cycles and demonstrate successful launch and scaling of products,
  • Communication: Outstanding communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.

 

Technical Skills & Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of IoT solutions, connectivity (Wi-Fi, LTE-M, 5G, NTN) and how it intersects with hardware/software product offerings.

 

Great-to-have:

 

  • Experience with new technology development
  • PMP Certification
  • Agile Product Management Certification
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent experience
Salary Range:  $86,000-$136,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
