Description

Reporting to the Manager of SMB Sales Enablement & Operations, the Senior Strategy Manager will help shape business strategy, enhance cross-functional collaboration, and oversee the delivery of critical projects and programs.This individual’s primary responsibility is to act as the enablement data and insights consultant, by providing expert analytical and strategic insights to the SMB Enablement team.

The Senior Strategy Manager will ensure leadership has the clarity on the data, tools, and frameworks needed to make data-driven decisions and accelerate SMB performance.

  • Sales Execution Strategy: Champion consistency in sales execution by operationalizing the TELUS PSO model, embedding best practices into daily workflows, and evolving playbooks to reflect changing market dynamics
  • Business Intelligence & Insights: Lead the development of advanced reporting, dashboards, and predictive analytics to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities; translate insights into forward-looking recommendations that shape sales strategy.
  • Strategic Storytelling: Deliver clear, compelling narratives that connect data and insights to business priorities; influence senior leadership decisions by framing risks, trade-offs, and paths forward.
  • Enablement Program Leadership: Own the design, evolution, and execution of SMB enablement programs (e.g., career pathing, performance frameworks, onboarding), ensuring they are future-ready, scalable, and aligned with long-term sales strategy.
  • Benchmarking & Competitive Intelligence: Proactively scan the external market and internal performance benchmarks to identify opportunities for differentiation; recommend and implement best practices that position TELUS as a leader in SMB sales.
  • Continuous Innovation: Anticipate gaps in sales execution and enablement; pilot new tools, methodologies, and programs that drive measurable sales growth and rep productivity.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Act as the intelligence hub for SMB Enablement, partnering with Enablement, Marketing, Product, and BI teams to ensure insights and strategies are adopted and executed seamlessly.
  • OPEX: Accountable for managing and optimizing operating expenses (OPEX), ensuring budget adherence to monthly triage and overall SMB Sales cost efficiency.

     

What you bring

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to initiate strategic analysis, synthesize results, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Work across TELUS SMB, including Marketing and Sales Leadership to ensure progress against both strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, compelling visuals and influential messages appropriate for the audience, including leadership and executive-level presentations.
  • Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams to ensure progress and sound execution of initiatives.
  • The ability to lead discussions and align objectives to drive effectiveness in achieving business goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong collaborative relationships, influencing a culture of transparency in sharing risks and opportunities with senior leaders to drive the best outcomes.
  • Strong project management and innovation skills, with the ability to facilitate seamless execution of the strategic vision and manage progress towards targets.
  • The ability to influence stakeholder groups to drive tangible improvements in processes and performance.
  • Experience with digital collaboration platforms, data analytics tools and business intelligence platforms (Looker Studio, Tableau)
  • Comfortable leveraging basic coding and AI tools to analyze data, build dashboards, or automate repetitive processes.
  • University degree in Business, Information Technology Management or a related field; Masters degree desirable
  • 5-7 years of experience in Management Consulting or Corporate Strategy with a large organization.
