TELUS Partner Solutions (TPS) is the wholesale division of TELUS. We work with Canadian, American and international organizations to enhance their product offering and to engineer a broad range of possibilities for them and their end customers.
We are searching for a highly motivated self-starter who is passionate, results-orientated and has a keen sense of curiosity. As a Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for the end to end management of TPS’ product capital program. This means that you will:
- Work in tandem with the various product managers and product directors across TPS to develop the business cases to request capital funding.
- Manage the monthly reporting of capital spend and benefits tracking
- Review and report progress to senior and executive leadership on program status

What YOU Will Do:
Financial Analysis
- Develop and review business cases to ensure value for money spent
- Ensure accurate forecasting and actual spend of funds
- Reporting on the progress and success of the capital program
Executive Communications
- Clearly articulate program updates, project progress and concepts through effective storytelling using various mediums such as PowerPoint
- Coordinate executive-level reports to various stakeholders and avoid unnecessary re-work
Problem Solving & Analytics:
- Identify and analyze business problems and in turn, develop different solution sets to address the business problem at hand.
- Utilize advanced conceptual and critical thinking skills for business planning and/or problem analysis and resolution
What YOU bring
- Demonstrable financial analysis skills
- An understanding of budgeting and financial reporting (budget development & management, ROI modeling, cash flow fundamentals, etc.)
- Excellent collaborative skills, with a proven track record of working with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Marketing, Product, and Operations
- Experience working with all levels of the organization – from managers to senior executives
- Ongoing desire to be part of a high paced and exciting team focused on long term planning and business governance
- A high degree of emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills and thought leadership, who is known for producing efficient, clean and accurate content
- A natural ability to form strong working relationships and transform complex concepts into simple ones
- Experience working with highly urgent and highly visible content
- Efficient organization and ability to manage multiple timelines and requirements
- A high level of proficiency with Google Suite (especially Slides and Docs) and storyboarding; you to are able to deliver content tailored for the variety of audiences and forums you support
- Strong time management, organizational and project management skills
- An understanding of product strategy (product life cycle models, pricing theory, product development methodology, etc.)
Candidate Qualifications
Education:
- A Bachelors in Business Administration, Bachelors in Finance or equivalent
- A Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) (considered an asset)
Experience:
5+ years of related work experience in financial analysis, and/or financially driven strategic decision making, and/or strategy development
