Role Overview
You will collaborate across business areas, operations and technology teams to develop and deliver the Order to Cash capability roadmap implementing quick wins and mid-long term initiatives that improve the overall process health and help achieve strategic objectives. The Order to Cash Strategy Manager will play a critical role in designing and developing the process and technology architecture that helps TELUS drive simple, standard and scalable solutions. You will be playing a pivotal role in helping to develop, groom and execute a 3-5-year roadmap as an integral part of a team of Business Process Owners collaborating on supply chain transformation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
As an OTC Functional Product Owner, you will work hand in hand supporting the Business Process owners in the OTC area and have the following responsibilities:
- Product Ownership: practical understanding of standard OTC capabilities with an ability to configure feature functions, develop PoCs/MVPs hands on or in collaboration with implementation teams / external vendors on SAP, S4 and other ordering, fulfillment and billing systems. You will directly support the business process owners to continuously drive capability augmentation and adoption by converting process recommendations to configurable system process flows
- Process Excellence: Support the design, documentation, and optimization of business processes as per suggested best practice solutions. You will support identifying current state pain points, process breaks, capability gaps and help implement processes that align with fit-to-standard approach. You will be responsible to develop, measure and monitor OTC KPIs for continuous improvement of compliance and performance
- Data stewardship: perform periodic reporting on data quality, identify outliers, process breaks and help maintain standards for OTC master data such as materials, plants, sourcing etc help drive more accurate organizational reporting
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and document solid business requirements, user stories that help develop detailed solution blueprints and functional specifications for the technical teams
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with various cross functional stakeholder groups across Mobility, Home Solutions, Freight, Planning , IT, Customer teams and other enabling business functions to harmonize the ways of working through effective interlock and help identify key decisions, presenting options to broader leadership forums to drive consensus
- Project Execution Support: You will work closely with project and program managers to support implementation of roadmaps
- Testing and Validation: Bring an agile approach to testing by supporting the development of test scenarios early on and ensuring the design meets the specific needs and delivers accurate outcomes
- Change Management: Facilitate user adoption of new processes and capabilities, providing training and support
Qualifications
Required experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of Supply Chain, Operations, IT Implementation, Management Consulting or general business experience
- Implementation experience with S4 Hana transformations in Sales and Distribution and processes such as Sales Order Management, Customer & Master Data Management, Product BoMs, Allocation, Returns/Refunds, Warranties Management, Advanced ATP, Promotions, Drop-Ship / third party ordering, consignments etc
- University degree in Business/ Commerce, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering and/or similar discipline
- Business acumen and working knowledge of experience in Order to Cash process with an ability to map processes to potential technology solutions and standardized approach to build green architecture that helps scale to multiple business functions
- Experience executing a business blueprint, process flows, architecture diagrams and documenting business requirements that can be understood by a technical process team as well as functional business users
- Experience in conducting fit/gap to standard functionality
- Development of project documentation, training materials, requirements gathering
- Experience coordinating several competing priorities spanning cross functional groups
- Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to synthesize complex concepts in senior level presentations
- Team player, adaptable and flexible to learn and take on new challenges that balance current priorities
- Building and executing detailed test cases covering the end to end product flow
Great-to-haves
- Working knowledge of SAP including S/4 HANA Materials Management (MM), Production Planning, Asset Management and other multi-application integrated systems for upstream customer sales and quotations, work order management, 3PL, front end sales or commerce platforms and billing, financial posting and reconciliations
- Hands-on and demonstrated experience with SAP, including leading technical and systems transformation projects with SAP, third-party suppliers, systems integration and architecture
- Experience in an agile environment designing and deploying frequent MVP releases
