As a Systems Analyst III, you will have an opportunity to exercise strong collaboration skills with your peer group, both internally and externally, in the implementation of communications infrastructure for TELUS team members in our leased and owned sites. You excel in working with telecommunications spaces, pathways, and cabling data. You relish the opportunity to address information gaps, some of which you identify yourself. You are committed to leveraging existing expertise while pivoting to new technologies with a focus on maximizing the benefit for team members and the organization.
What you’ll do:
- Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures which are cost effective and meet user requirements. Document technical and functional requirements
- Organize your analysis to provide clearly constructed solutions; preparation of complex program specifications, diagrams and development of coding logic flowcharts
- Facilitate to review detailed design specifications, test plans and user documentation for functional and technical completeness and accuracy. Facilitate to review application and technical design specifications for development and support work for more complex larger solutions
- Assist with the management of the planning, developing, testing, coordinating, implementation and documenting of computer business applications programs
- Respond to and perform impact analysis on incoming service/support requests
- Occasional travel may be required to project sites across Canada
Qualifications
What you bring:
- 3-5 years systems analyst experience
- Business or Engineering Degree or a College Diploma with the required experience demonstrated by progressive responsibilities
- Self-starter, self-motivated, and able to develop solutions to problems
- Excellent attention to detail
- Passionate about teamwork and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to learn new applications and tools quickly
- Familiarity with applications and tools including, but not limited to, SAP, NetCracker, Circuit Vision, and PowerIQ, is a strong asset
- Strong experience and expertise in leveraging Google Workspaces (Mail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Meet, and Chat) and BIM 360 for online team collaboration
- Committed to decision-making based on sound judgment and excellent problem-solving
- Maintain a high level of performance under the pressure of time constraints and a fast-paced, changing environment
- Demonstrated ability in planning and organizing to meet scheduled deadlines
- Strong ability to report progress on initiatives you lead or support to various stakeholders
- Capable of estimating project costs; understands revenue or cost implications of events within a customer project or contract; able to provide cost benefit analysis, including an understanding of the customer vertical
- Interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), solid consulting, and customer (internal/external) communications skills (requirements management/expectations/client service)
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in French is a strong asset
Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.
