Position Overview:
We are looking for a strong Systems Quality Analyst to work on an industry leading Business Intelligence and reporting applications. Our team is part of a larger TELUS Health team located in multiple locations across Canada and all having varying skills and responsibilities. TELUS is a corporation that focuses on Customers First and Employee Engagement. The position allows for a flexible work schedule with the opportunity to work remotely based on alignment and agreement with your manager and alignment to TELUS policies. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, self-motivated, and work well in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Automation engineer or SDET (Software Development/Design Engineer in Test)
- Create and maintain complex SQL queries such as all types of joins, aggregations, groupings
- Passionate about process improvement and delivery of high quality products
- Analyze requirements, write test plans and recognize patterns in data and point out anomalies
- Write quality test cases and document expected and actual outcomes
- Follow an agile methodology, including effective communication with remote team members, BAs, PMs and QA staff
- Fully participate in the ownership of your services and components
Qualifications
Required Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding with Data Warehousing/ Business Intelligence concepts from QA perspective
- 5 to 6 years of experience with developing functional & non-functional test plans/test cases and executing both manual and automation testing
- Experience with maintaining & developing automation test scripts. Able to maintain automation test scripts in collaboration with DevOps and technical team
- 2+ years experience with CI/CD practices, tool chains such as but not limited to Jenkins, Docker, Azure DevOps
- 3 + years experience with automation programming in Python, Java or similar scripting language
- Familiarity with Agile software development process
- 1 year of experience with DevOps practices

- Required Professional Designation/Certification:
- Bachelor degree in a computer science related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an automation technical QA role
- It’s an asset to have a working knowledge/experience with Jenkins
- It’s an asset that QAs have GCP/Cloud QA engineering certification/understanding GCP to deploy through the GCP pipeline
- Background in Health Care or Health Insurance industries is an asset
