Our mission is to simplify life for our partners, customers, and team members. We are seeking a Technical Product Owner to join our dynamic and customer-centric wireless, IoT, and TELUS Pay team. Our team oversees a proprietary wireless platform that supports one of the fastest-growing programs in Partner Solutions, the wholesale division of TELUS. In addition to wireless and IoT, we manage consumer billing for payment products. We collaborate with telecom companies and digital payment aggregators to deliver top-notch products and services.

As a Technical Product Manager, you will steer the End-to-End partner and customer journey in product/service development. You will shape the vision, strategic direction, and roadmap for digital asset development that underpins our products. Collaborating with partners across the organization, you will drive customer impact, product launches, and innovation.


Responsibilities:

  • Define a shared vision for platforms and processes supporting our products in collaboration with the product team.
  • Advocate for the prioritization of digital experiences to achieve business outcomes.
  • Engage with technical teams using your expertise to drive discussions.
  • Develop an annual financial capital investment plan with project managers and financial analysts to secure funding for programs.
  • Create and maintain internal and external documentation, including sequence diagrams for each product.
  • Foster relationships with cross-functional partners, align on roadmaps and technology investments.
  • Own the product backlog, prioritize based on feedback and value, and define the product roadmap.
  • Report progress on critical product metrics and communicate updates to partners.
  • Ensure product health by addressing security, accessibility, performance, and other aspects.


 

Qualifications

 

  • 2-5 years of experience in complex multi-year digital product development with agile delivery.
  • Proficiency in documenting processes for internal and external use.
  • Hands-on experience with APIs.
  • Familiarity with product roadmapping tools like Aha.
  • Understanding of sequence diagrams and data-driven insights.
  • Ability to track time and cost against baselines and provide early warnings of deviations.
  • Expertise as a Product Owner in digital teams, managing product life cycles.
  • Strong foundation in Agile processes and principles.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver customer value.


 

Great-to-have:

  • Knowledge of wireless networks, 5G, IoT, ECommerce, and digital payments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, MIS or equivalent.
  • Previous technical or software development experience.
  • Experience working with Product Engineering teams and outsourcing partners.
  • Basic understanding of cloud, local APIs, and interface agreements.

Salary Range:  $88,000-$132,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits such as:
