Our team and what we’ll accomplish together
As a key part of the team, you will answer inbound calls and respond to emails in order to book clients for medicals, as well as provide administrative support to our clinical professionals, and provide relief support at reception as necessary.
What you'll do:
- Effectively manage all tasks and follow-up related to inbound telephone and email inquiries
- Make outbound calls and write outbound emails to schedule appointments
- Maintain up to date client information in the database: contact information, preferred pharmacy, who to share results with
- Provide clients with information about the services available at TELUS Health Care Centres
- Provide absence and break coverage to front desk reception staff
- General administrative support tasks such as scanning, faxing and special projects
- Crosstrain in other administrative positions to ensure clients receive smooth, end-to-end service during team vacations and absences
- Work collaboratively and effectively with all team members to support a welcoming and client-focused environment
Qualifications
What you bring:
- Completion of high school or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience providing an exceptional level of customer service in a fast paced environment
- Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written
- Exhibits a professional image, mature communication style and polished telephone manner with clients
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact while respecting patient confidentiality at all times
- Self-starter who takes initiative, and demonstrates a high level of accountability and sound judgment
- Attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively
- Strong work ethic and takes ownership to complete a task from start to finish
- Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrates effective organizational, multitasking and problem solving abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Exposure to patient databases and/or appointment scheduling software would be ideal
