Position Overview

 

We are seeking a dynamic Business Consultant with a proven track record of translating clinical and business requirements into cohesive technology solutions within the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will excel in driving innovation through digital healthcare solutions, enhancing user satisfaction, and integrating new capabilities into our technology ecosystem.

 

In this role, you will focus on partnering with service development team members and IT teams to seamlessly align clinical and business needs with technology for successful service execution. Your responsibilities will include the effective implementation of UX principles to ensure a user-centered approach, as well as fostering and managing strategic partnerships to expand and enhance our range of healthcare services.

Key responsibilities will involve:

 

  1. Requirements Gathering and Translation: Collaborate with our service development teams to meticulously gather and translate clinical and business requirements into actionable technology solutions. Ensure that these requirements are clearly articulated and aligned with our strategic goals.
  2. Technology Integration: Work closely with IT teams to oversee the seamless integration of new capabilities into our existing technology ecosystem. This includes collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure that technology solutions are implemented effectively and efficiently.
  3. UX Implementation: Ensure that user experience principles are effectively integrated into all technology solutions, focusing on creating intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces that enhance overall satisfaction and usability.
  4. Project Management: Manage project requests from inception through to completion. This includes overseeing the execution of IT initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high standards of quality and functionality.
  5. Strategic Partnerships: Develop and nurture strategic partnerships to drive innovation and expand our services lineup. Leverage these partnerships to integrate new technologies and solutions that align with our business objectives.
  6. Impactful Solutions: Oversee the development and delivery of impactful, integrated solutions that address both clinical and business needs, driving measurable improvements in our healthcare products and services.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in business requirements gathering, IT design, product management, IT project management, or consulting roles within the healthcare industry
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and patient privacy requirements
  • API documentation and specifications
  • Proficiency in UX design tools and project management software
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and user feedback into actionable insights
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

 

Great to Haves

 

  • MBA or other advanced degrees in a related field
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional, PMP designation, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent certifications
  • Bilingual English/French considered an asset

 

Advanced knowledge of English is required, because you will, most of the time, interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.), interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.), as part of this position's main responsibilities, given its national scope.

Salary Range:  $80,000-$120,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location. Additionally, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
