We operate in an ambitious start-up environment and collaborate with teams across multiple functions including Marketing, Product & Service Development, Contact Centres, Field Technicians, Application System Development, and Technology Strategy. With members of these teams you will work on projects and support operations across multiple segments including Residential, Small Business, and Consumer Health customers to deliver extraordinary customer experiences. Here's how 


As a Business Consultant on the SmartHome & Security Transformation Team, your primary responsibility will be driving and leading programs that ensure our end-to-end operations deliver the best security and automation experiences for our customers at the highest levels of operational efficiency. Your key responsibilities will be to:

 

  • Lead the strategy development supporting the security monitoring and customer support functions of Smart Security and Automation through applying structured problem solving, leveraging a data-driven approach and assessing both customer and operational impacts 
  • Own and drive the strategic planning and budgeting process to drive National Security Enablement’s operations forward leading to exceptional customer and team member outcomes
  • Collaborate with the relevant partner teams and stakeholders to prioritize and implement solutions that lead to improved critical metrics
  • Manage the priorities and risks of multi-faceted, large-scale projects that span across major TELUS frontline and internal facing business units 
  • Investigate customer and frontline issues to identify and implement any required changes to our SmartHome & Security policies, processes, procedures, and technology
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to junior team members

  • Your demonstrated track record of success delivering remarkable customer experiences at high levels of operational efficiency is second to none
  • You possess strong organization, presentation, and communications skills
  • You have experience in an Agile environment and familiarity of associated tools such as JIRA, Kanban, and Scrum
  • You have a real passion for working in a dynamic, high performance culture

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Innovation-orientation and passion for building, operating, and transforming new businesses
  • Focus on continuous learning and development across multiple domains including industry practices, technology trends, and customer experience opportunities
  • Knowledge and experience in the home automation and security industry and its end to end operations
  • University degree in business, economics, engineering, information management or equivalent experience
  • A MBA or CPA would be considered an asset
  • Agile, Lean Six Sigma and/or PMP certification
