As a Category Leader within the TELUS Procurement team, you’ll have the opportunity to not only apply and hone your expertise, but also drive new best practices. You’ll collaborate with and provide consultation and intelligence to vice presidents across TELUS on strategic sourcing for multi-million dollar spending with global brands. We are audaciously obsessed with doing better for our customers every single day.

 

Here's how

 

  • Providing subject matter category expertise and pro-active opportunity identification to stakeholders across the supply operations organisation (including warehouse management, forward & reverse logistics, transportation and fleet operations)
  • Driving best in class strategic sourcing that supports profitable growth and an unsurpassed client experience
  • Influencing key strategic decisions through clear storytelling, impactful thought leadership and a consultative approach
  • Applying expert skills in data analytics, market research, sourcing, relationship and contract management
  • Leading complex contract negotiations, strategic sourcing activities, cross functional projects, risk and relationship management, and savings initiatives
  • Optimising our transformational delivery model to maximise impact for TELUS, including coaching and mentoring of team members

 

Qualifications

  • Applauded for your “can-do” attitude and belief in the art of the possible
    Recognized for driving change and innovation
  • An exceptional communicator, influencer and negotiator, able to build and maintain effective partnerships internally and externally with all stakeholders, including senior leaders
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Ability to seek out, analyze and translate facts, data and intelligence into key insights, concept and recommendations
  • Project execution excellence and achieving results in a complex environment
  • Demonstration of leadership and mentoring junior team members
  • Bachelor’s degree in any domain
  • Fluent in English (French is a strong asset)

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Experience in strategic sourcing for any spend category
  • Experience using Procurement technology and SAP at an advanced level
  • MBA or a professional certification(s) in Supply Chain & Procurement

 

Salary Range:  $86,000-$136,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
