TELUS Small & Medium Business Solutions (SMB) is a dedicated business-to-business sales channel serving customers in the B2B space. The Channel Manager-Sales is an integral part of the SMB team supporting our TELUS International contact centre in the Philippines.
In our highly dynamic, fast-paced B2B environment you will lead, motivate, and develop a high performance team of inside sales professionals focused on the small business market. The position is accountable for supporting sales campaigns and driving performance for the integrated portfolio of Business products while focusing on providing an optimal customer experience that reinforces the TELUS brand. As a Channel Manager – Sales, you’ll lead, coach and develop a high performing sales team capable of exceeding the goals, objectives and financial targets defined in the annual operating budget. You will develop and implement the strategy for growing TELUS' integrated business within the business market as well as collaborate with and consolidate feedback for the Business Marketing team to drive efficiencies.
As the Expert in your field, you’ll:
- Coach your team to prospect, present, propose and close new business while also managing the lifecycle of the customer through retention activities
- Ensure the optimal use of resources by removing non-selling activities
- Provide accurate, relevant and timely management information on the performance metrics for the business in order to facilitate effective business planning, forecasting and resource allocation
- Engage the necessary resources from within the extended team and internal stakeholder community to fully support the needs of the business
- Act as a strong ambassador for the TELUS organization and uphold the values and behaviors of a senior leader in the business and throughout the extended community
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years sales and/or marketing experience
- 2-3 years of sales leadership experience
- Bilingualism (English/French) is preferred
- Proven ability to lead teams, excellent communication (written and oral), facilitate and deliver presentations
- Strong knowledge of Business to Business sales environment
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
- Ability to work and thrive in a high energy, fast paced, action-oriented deadline target driven environment
- Outstanding communicator able to effectively articulate the vision, goals and strategic imperatives of the business and act as an enabler for feedback
- Strong and effective decision maker able to review options in a constructive and methodical manner to establish the best course of action for the organization
- Detailed understanding of the sales process and a proven track record of achieving sustainable, profitable business results
- Proven track record of consistent and sustainable performance, exceeding challenging financial targets
- Ability to travel overseas 1-2x per year
Required Professional Designation/Certification:
- Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration or equivalent sales and industry experience
