The Corporate Governance team within TELUS Legal and Regulatory Affairs supports the TELUS Board of Directors and its committees, maintains and evolves the corporate structure of the TELUS group of companies, and supports disclosure of TELUS’ results and accomplishments to our stakeholders.
Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together
- As a member of the Corporate Governance team, reporting to the Associate General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary, you will be a trusted advisor to the TELUS Board and to teams across TELUS, applying your knowledge of corporate and securities law and implementing best practices
- You will participate in the development and implementation of Board policies and procedures and in the preparation and review of disclosure documents
- You will advise on corporate finance transactions and the application of securities laws and stock exchange requirements
- You will help to ensure that the legal structure of the TELUS group supports the evolution of our business in Canada and internationally
- You will collaborate with other teams within TELUS to plan and execute Board, Board Committee and shareholder meetings
Qualifications
What you bring
- Respected for your legal skills, business acumen, creativity, learning-oriented mindset and collaborative style, you have a proven track record of executing and delivering in fast-paced environments
- Able to engage and interact with sophisticated stakeholders, internally and externally
- Known for your strong communications skills, both written and oral (English is required; French is an asset)
- Member in good standing of the Law Society of British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario or the Barreau du Québec, with a minimum of three years’ post-call experience
- Experience with corporate law transactions (in public or private M&A, corporate finance)
- Familiarity with governance standards and continuous disclosure documents and reporting requirements for public companies in Canada
Great-to-haves
- Familiarity with US securities laws
- Ability to communicate and work in French

Salary Range:
$130,000-$194,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:
30%
