Position Overview


TELUS CRSM team is seeking a Customer Solutions Architect (CSA) to join a dynamic presales engineering team, supporting both Commercial and Public sector customers. The successful candidate will have a passion for business security and surveillance systems with demonstrated experience in technical solution consulting and deep subject matter expertise. The CSA will interface with customers and the sales organization to perform business needs assessment, product demonstrations, whiteboard discussion, opportunity qualification, and solution design and proposal development.

Business Solutions and Customer Relations & Solutions Management (CRSM) provides end-to-end sales, marketing and post-sales business customer support across Canada.


Our Sales team is dedicated to supporting business customers all across Canada. We help connect our customers with industry-leading technology solutions to create opportunities and solve business challenges across both public and private sectors and across various vertical markets.


Our Marketing team leads product marketing for most of our wireline business solutions, strategic alliances and support for sales tools and analytics. The team also oversees regional customer marketing.


The CRSM team provides customer solutions architecture, deal pursuit, solutions delivery, customer care, and operations support for TELUS business customers across all segments.

Qualifications

 

What YOU Bring

 

  • Strong cross-domain Smart Security and Surveillance knowledge including Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC), smart security policy and smart security infrastructure solutions, with specialization in the following security areas.
  • Strong knowledge of Smart Security and Surveillance trends in the industry
  • Solid understanding of, and experience with, enterprise scale integrated security solutions such as Fire and Life Safety, Monitored Intrusion Detection, Monitored Fire, Flood and Carbon Monoxide protection, Interactive Security with Automation and Analytics and Smart Alerts
  • Smart security infrastructure (e.g. Access Control, Security Cameras, Motion Detectors, Smart Locks, Intercoms and Video Storage) design and architecture
  • Proficient with design and markup tools such as Bluebeam. An ability to interpret construction documents including architectural and electrical plans
  • Ability to uncover and understand business requirements through a consultative process
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, clearly communicate risks, anticipate challenges, seek clarification and set clear expectations with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent technical writing, design consultation and presentation skills
  • Ability to articulate both business and technical value of smart security solutions
  • The ability to work with limited supervision in a competitive environment
  • Post-secondary degree or technical diploma in Engineering
