What you will do

 

As a Director Digital Sales, you’re in charge of the big picture – the TELUS digital sales strategyand execution excellence for one of our customer outcome portfolio areas. You’re a digital sales & marketing leader that’s responsible for evolving the online sales experience for customers andgrowing the business by increasing digital-only and assisted sales.

 

Reporting to the VP, Digital Sales and Service, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to create market-leading digital campaigns, offers and new product go-to-market strategies and drive optimal, online sales journeys. You’ll be focused on both driving new customer acquisition and the retention & growth of the existing customer base with market leading digital experiences.You’ll obsess about the sales funnel and find innovative ways to improve conversion at each step of the customer’s digital journey.

 

Here’s how

 

  • Demonstrate digital sales excellence; helping TELUS emulate local and global digital leaders
  • Collaborate with Senior Stakeholders in the business on sales strategy
  • Drive campaign & offer strategy and execution, working closely with Marketing, Delivery and Technology teams
  • Continuously look for opportunities to optimize the digital sales funnel from generating quality traffic through to fulfillment of online orders
  • Build and support a highly engaged and performing team, act as a mentor and coach for the entire team and leverage your leadership experience to help us build a strong and long lasting culture
  • Lead presentations to Executive audiences on digital sales performance, analysis and opportunities
  • Work closely with your peers in other portfolio areas on cross-sell opportunities and consistent TELUS digital customer experience
  • Play a key role in influencing prioritization of new digital capability builds based on understanding of the biggest impacts to customer experience and sales performance
  • Work with a passionate team dedicated in transforming digital for our customers with leading edge technology and processes

 

 

Qualifications

 

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

 

  • Ambitious sales leader that loves to win new customers and drive market leadership
  • Deep understanding of the digital environment (online, mobile and social)
  • Experience in developing and implementing digital sales and marketing strategies 
  • Comfortable driving discussions from content and page UX to digital campaign strategy to E2E CX and sales process evolution
  • On top of key industry trends that consistently drive changing web requirements
  • Ability to anticipate and assess risks, construct contingency plans and manage change in a complex environment
  • Demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, innovation, and out of the box thinking
  • Proven leadership, coaching, motivating, goal setting, performance management and human resource management skills
  • Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to delegate, monitor and manage high volume workloads
  • Ability to effectively solve problem and deal with complex project issues
  • Experience navigating and partnering with a large and diverse stakeholder mix
  • Ability to work effectively with various levels of management and cross-functional teams
     

Great-to-haves

 

  • Undergraduate degree; Master’s or MBA preferred
  • 7+ years progressive management experience in a large corporate setting
  • 5+ years experience digital marketing and/or ECommerce 
  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to traverse complex stakeholder landscapes
  • Experience leading teams within an Agile environment
