Part of the Customer Technology Excellence (CTE) organization, the Care DevOps team is on a mission to simplify and elevate the care for our customers and team members and ensure every experience is consistent, easy and efficient. The Care DevOps team is looking for a collaborative, passionate and proven technology leader to guide a large technical team through this transformation. The director of the Care DevOps team will be responsible for ensuring timely, reliable and secure outcomes. The most suitable candidate will be a leader who takes pride in leading technology strategy, is obsessed with adopting leading edge technologies and building highly effective and engaged teams, and one who is motivated to achieve business outcomes that exceed expectations.


What you’ll do

 

Champion and evolve our cloud-based technology platform to drive timely and reliable technology solutions and operational excellence, while leading multi-disciplinary and cross functional teams to successfully deliver on objectives.


Balance the demands of multiple business partners, technology standards, vendors, critical product market launches, and desired customer and business outcomes while leading highly engaged teams in a performance-driven culture. The director of the Care DevOps team will also champion and lead the adoption and maturation of agile, DevOps, and SRE practices.

Support the development, delivery and operations:

 

  • Developing and strengthening DevOps practices
  • Leading, engaging, developing and inspiring geographically dispersed teams of engaged professionals who identify with a culture of accountability, high performance, and collaboration
  • Inspiring innovation, process improvement, and self-development
  • Improving delivery efficiencies through platform and system convergence 
  • Evolving cloud enablement practices and delivery pipeline to eliminate risk when making changes…
  • Enabling the business to rapidly grow and retain our customer base by exposing all service capabilities on the converged platform for all teams to consume and evolve


Lead and collaborate the delivery of an aggressive roadmap:
 

  • Provide vision, strategy and leadership to a dedicated and aspirational technology team to deliver on an aggressive, multi-year technology strategy roadmap
  • Act as a trusted advisor for our business partners, managing priorities that balance business goals, reliability and delivery improvements
  • Transform processes while embracing the Chief Development Office (CDO) best practices for consistent, reliable and secure outcomes
  • Uphold our culture of reliability by design by proactively collaborating with the appropriate teams to identify and remediate risks to our systems
  • Foster strong partnership with industry vendors and champion exceptional outcomes
  • Collaborate with, advise and influence a diverse group of senior leaders to determine business imperatives, prioritization of products, and timelines


This role offers complete ownership of the systems operations, delivery and business growth. Qualifications

  • Distinguished for successfully  leading, engaging, developing and inspiring geographically dispersed teams who identify with a culture of accountability, high performance, and collaboration 
  • Known for a collaborative approach and ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders including executive leaders 
  • Passionate about inspiring innovation, process and efficiency improvements 
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen with advanced analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills 
  • Regarded as an exceptional communicator (clear and concise), influencer and negotiator, including an ability to drive alignment through compelling storytelling and presentation to executive audience 
  • Experienced in Data Center Operations, DevOps, and Cloud native principles 
  • Holds a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration, or equivalent education and/or experience 
  • Has 5-7 years of people leadership experience 


Great-to-haves

 

  • Familiarity with industry leading and open source software for development and operations 
  • Experience with building and supporting cloud native (public/private) applications and services Experience integrating, converging and migrating customers, applications and data centers 
  • Knowledge of privacy and secure by design architecture
