We are looking for a dynamic leader to join the Home Solution Marketing team as a Director- Multicultural Marketing to take our winning plan to the next level! Your skills in program leadership, analytics, and customer engagement, combined with your ability to find the missing piece of the puzzle will ensure you are the perfect complement to our one-of-a-kind leadership team.


This is an exciting opportunity within the Home Solutions & Customer Excellence team where you will help drive innovation and decision making, while working collaboratively with our marketing and channel teams to solve problems, engage with our customers and elevate acquisition and retention strategies. You will be challenged to develop relationships with cross functional teams, passionately put our customers and communities first and drive business results.


You’ll be working with a cross section of stakeholder groups across Home Solutions Marketing, Mobility Marketing, and channel teams. As the strategic thought leader on the multicultural team managing strategy and execution excellence, you will  take ownership of achieving the ambitious goals and priorities TELUS will achieve in this space! 

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Lead a team of exceptional management professionals responsible for strengthening the performance of multicultural performance through the insightful application of internal and external information.
  • Oversee the gathering, analyzing, and creation of fact-based recommendations to impact short and long-term strategies and tactics across our teams. 
  • Ensure that reporting capabilities are built to enhance our ability to deliver real time insights on our performance with the detail to drive strong decisions
  • Monitor the market, industry  and competitive environment for opportunities and threats.
  • Cultivate and support a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a 'do what it takes' attitude.
  • Provide leadership and development to the direct reports and extended team.

What you bring

 

  • 5+ years of experience leading high-performing teams, you offer thought leadership and have strong program leadership experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years business experience where one has achieved success as evidenced by a clear and rapid progression of responsibilities in a top-tier strategy consulting firm or in a fast-paced, business-oriented organization with multiple distribution channels.
  • You are a creative thinker and are passionate about customer excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability influencing peers as well as senior leaders in a variety of forums.
  • Strong communication skills; an ability to explain complex ideas simply and translate them into creative and practical strategies.
  • Superior problem-solving, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent program management and analytical skills, and an ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional financial and business acumen.

 
Great-to-haves

 

  • Language competency in one or more of Mandarin, Cantonese, Punjabi, Hindi, Filipino, or Tagalog.
  • Experience leading marketing campaigns or go-to-market strategies in consumer segments.
  • An interest in learning about the the rich mosaic of cultures within the communities we serve.
  • A business undergraduate degree (an MBA is desirable).
  • Experience in a variety of areas such as business planning, business development, marketing, financial modeling, management reporting, and competitive analysis.
