As the head of Sales for Consumer Health, you will be charged with leading the business development team facilitating revenue growth, retention and new client acquisition across our Public Sector and B2B channels driving the TELUS Premier Sales Organization (PSO) operating model. The ideal candidate has a strong background in business development, sales strategy, and relationship management within the public sector and/or healthcare technology industry.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategic Leadership & Business Development
    • Craft and execute the Consumer Health Public Sector sales strategy
    • Drive predictable revenue growth through strategic planning and market expansion
    • Think strategically to uncover new revenue sources and market opportunities
    • Collaborate with other sales teams (TH, TBS, TAC, TI) to position TELUS as the the most trusted partner to help our clients thrive
  • Stakeholder Management & Relationships
    • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and clients within government and public healthcare
    • Serve as the internal voice of the customer and work closely with marketing, product, operations and clinical leadership to evaluate market opportunities and influence product roadmaps
    • Develop a positive profile for TELUS through networking, attending and participating in industry networking, conferences, and public speaking engagements
  • Sales Execution & Portfolio ManagementLead complex sales cycles, including RFP responses, capability presentations, and negotiations
    • Guide team members in developing compelling proposals and presentations
    • Support and mentor team members in client meetings and business development activities
    • Establish formal PSO ( Premier Sales Organization) methodologies to exceed targets, optimize sales processes and customer outcomes
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Recruit, coach, and develop account managers and executives to exceed targets
    • Foster a high-performing, collaborative culture that drives consistent results

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar business development role ideally in public health sector
  • 2+ years’ experience leading high performance sales teams
  • Existing relationships within Canadian Public Sector healthcare entities and contacts within
  • Deep knowledge and/or experience working within the Canadian healthcare industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field; MBA and/or Clinical designations a strong asset
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with extensive experience in building and developing high performance teams within large complex organizations.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into new revenue opportunities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and internal teams
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events

 

 

Salary Range:  $137,000-$205,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  $80,000-120,000

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location. Additionally, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
