TELUS Health is looking for a dynamic, experienced Kinesiologist or Exercise Physiologist to provide services at a busy clinic and health facility in the metro Vancouver area.

The Exercise Physiologist/Kinesiologist will be responsible for conducting clinical testing, providing consultations, and delivering personalized fitness assessments for Life Plus and corporate health clients. They will collaborate closely with a team of Accredited Exercise Physiologists and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive, client-centered care.

Roles and Responsibilities
 

  • Works with varied allied health clinicians including dietitians, nurses, doctors, nurse practitioners and the lab tech team to provide an excellent client experience
  • Conducts personalized fitness evaluations, rehabilitation consultations  and personal training sessions
  • Adheres to protocols for personalized kinesiology evaluations of musculoskeletal, strength testing and aerobic testing 
  • Conduct various aerobic fitness test protocols (V02max, Bruce, Gerkins, modified Bruce, etc)
  • Conduct and review ECG and stress tests including setting up electrodes/wires, blood pressure monitoring
  • Provides 1 on 1 and group training services and personalized exercise programs
  • Provides clients with advice and recommendations according to assessment results
  • Monitor patient safety throughout the test, including using defibrillator when required
  • Perform other testing and clinic-related tasks as required including ordering of medical supplies
  • Confer professionally with medical personnel regarding abnormalities and results
  • Ensures client safety in the gym 
  • Assists in the maintenance and availability of gym equipment
  • Abide by cleaning and sanitation protocols for medical equipment, gym equipment


 

Qualifications


What you bring



Education:
 

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics, Exercise Sciences or Kinesiology
  • Registration with the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology or equivalent preferred
  • CPR/First Aid AED Certification


Experience:
 

  • Relevant experience in a clinical and or rehabilitation environment preferred
  • Clinical experience preferred
