Step into a high-impact role with BC Network Operations (NEO). As part of our Field Construction Management (FCM) team, you will drive the success of our outside plant infrastructure through expert contractor management and strategic oversight.

 

This role is built for a multitasker: you will oversee the scheduling of planned capital construction while simultaneously refining processes to outsource and scale our assurance response. We need a partner who can manage vendor relationships with precision, use data to improve cost-effectiveness, and implement robust strategies that ensure our network remains world-class.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Oversee partner builds, evaluate installation quality, and enforce network standards while removing roadblocks
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as Project Management, Engineering and various support teams
  • Showcase strong vendor management experience, including performance evaluation and relationship building
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, presenting complex information clearly and collaborating proactively
  • Develop and workshop best-in-class processes, tools, and systems, including vendor scorecards and KPI reporting
  • Exhibit a bias for action, proactively leading multiple initiatives and ensuring projects stay on track
  • This role may include some travel within the province (BC) but be mostly focused on the Lower Mainland

Qualifications

 

What you bring:

 

  • 3+ years’ hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting telecom equipment such as Outside Plant infrastructure, Inside Plant Wireline or Wireless telecom equipment
  • Understanding of telecommunications standards for physical infrastructure installations (TOPPS)
  • Excels in managing multiple projects and deliverables end to end with ease 
  • Ability to work independently, innovate and identify solutions to complex issues
  • Ability to analyze data, in order to prioritize and develop transformational programs and influence results / KPI performance
  • Excels in navigating and thriving within ambiguous environments, demonstrating adaptability and resilience in problem-solving and decision-making
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Ability to read civil, construction and electrical drawings would be an asset
  • Knowledge of business intelligence software such as Google Looker Studio, or Tableau would be an asset
  • Knowledge of TELUS specific applications (SRM, JIRA, SAP, Netcracker, Circuit Vision) would be an asset
  • Telecom Diploma or a Degree in Business Management would be an asset

 

Location: BC - Lower Mainland

Salary Range:  $70,000-$120,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
