TELUS Finance – Corporate Accounting is a dedicated and collaborative team that supports TELUS corporate accounting and financial reporting.

 

Our team and what we'll accomplish together

 

As a member of the Corporate Accounting team, your primary role will support our intercompany process and accounting at TELUS. In addition, you will be involved in our ERP upgrade where your creative approach will help to simplify and improve our intercompany processes. This role will work closely with finance teams across all TELUS business units.

 

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Financial Analyst for intercompany accounting. If you are a collaborative self-starter who excels at building relationships this is the role for you!

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

 

  • Responsible for the corporate accounting at TELUS including:
    • Intercompany accounting / reconciliation
    • Billing systems for intercompany transactions
    • Account reconciliations in Blackline
    • Preparing and delivering educational accounting material
    • Preparation of accounting entries and related analysis for certain complex intercompany transactions in preparation for the consolidation process
    • Familiar with TELUS products and Billing Systems to determine Intercompany Solutions
    • Intercompany processes for company code setup and close
    • Set up intercompany processes for new legal entities
    • Identify, develop and implement process improvements through simplification and automation, to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness
    • Assist the Senior Financial Analyst with clean-up of Intercompany data in SAP in support of a wider project, preparing the business for migration to a new ERP system
    • Work with ERP Teams to perform UAT Intercompany Testing
    • Assist with ad-hoc reporting requests as required

 

Required Professional Designation/Certification

 

  • Professional accounting designation or working towards a designation

 

Required Experience

 

  • Prior experience in corporate accounting and intercompany accounting is an asset
  • TELUS-specific business knowledge is an asset
  • 5+ years accounting-related experience

 

Required Knowledge

 

  • CPA or working towards a CPA designation
  • SAP S4 Hana Intercompany knowledge would be an asset
