Our Team and What We'll Accomplish Together

Our Vancouver clinic is a dynamic team of health professionals—including physicians, nurses, wellness coaches, and kinesiologists—dedicated to delivering comprehensive health assessments and personalized wellness guidance.

As a Kinesiologist, you'll be the first touchpoint for clients beginning their health transformation journey. Your comprehensive fitness assessments and one-on-one coaching sessions directly shape their path to better health. You'll work alongside physicians to interpret clinical findings, collaborate with wellness coaches to align fitness recommendations, and partner with administrative staff to ensure seamless client care and follow-up.

This is a role where clinical expertise meets genuine human connection, where your assessments don't just measure health metrics; they inspire clients to take ownership of their wellness.

What You'll Do

Your week balances hands-on client assessments with personalized coaching sessions and clinical collaboration. On a typical day, you might:

  • Perform clinical testing, including ECG setup, stress testing, blood pressure monitoring, spirometry, vision, and hearing assessments—ensuring client safety throughout and responding promptly to any abnormalities
  • Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments (VO2 max testing, functional movement screening, body composition analysis) to establish baseline health metrics and identify personalized recommendations for each client
  • Review and interpret results from stress and resting ECGs, consulting professionally with physicians on any findings that require clinical attention
  • Provide personalized client coaching, explaining assessment results in clear, accessible language and answering questions about fitness recommendations and health goals
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments for occupational health clients, identifying workplace adjustments to support their wellbeing
  • Maintain equipment to ensure all testing tools meet regulatory standards and are ready for daily use
  • Travel to off-site locations when required to deliver assessments at corporate wellness programs or specialized clinics

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Kinetics, Kinesiology, or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a clinical health assessment setting
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Ability to explain complex health assessment results to clients with varying health literacy levels, and to document findings clearly for physician review
  • Strong ability to prioritize and make sound decisions that affect patient care and safety
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining the highest standard of patient care
  • Demonstrated flexibility to travel to off-site client locations as required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Genuine passion for preventative health and client education, with a desire to grow your clinical expertise

Great-to-Haves

  • CSEP (Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology) or ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) certification—or equivalent clinical fitness assessment training
  • Experience with electronic health record systems
  • Experience in occupational health or corporate wellness settings
  • Experience coaching clients through behavior change and health goal-setting
  • Familiarity with wearable health technology or fitness tracking platforms
