We’re a Product Design and Development team on a mission to build innovative solutions and remarkable experiences that simplify, unify, and transform smart home, connectivity, entertainment, and health for our customers. As the Human Interfaces Team in Connected Products & Experiences, we unite experience design and delivery across mobile apps, web, TV screen, wearables and voice, while shaping the vision as we scale future consumer products.
What you’ll do
This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in evolving the experience across digital interfaces for TELUS consumer products. This is a high-impact role where you’ll help simplify how customers access and interact with their home services every day. You’ll work at the intersection of customer needs, product strategy, and design, partnering closely with product, engineering, and marketing to define and deliver solutions that are intuitive and engaging. As a senior member of the design team, you’ll help form the product design strategy to create meaningful outcomes that reduce friction, build trust, and delight customers.
Specifically you’ll:
- Lead end-to-end design across multiple digital interfaces, from concept through execution
- Think deeply from the customer perspective, translating user needs, behaviors, and feedback into elegant, usable solutions
- Partner closely with engineering to understand technical implementation and constraints, informing designs that scale and reduce iteration cycles
- Use research, data, and production learnings to iterate and continuously improve the experience
- Contribute to and evolve our design systems, patterns, and standards
- Advocate for usability, simplicity, and empathy in everything we build
Qualifications
What you bring
- 8+ years of experience in UI/UX or product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating customer-centered design thinking
- Proven experience designing complex digital products, ideally within healthcare, entertainment, connectivity, or smart home domains
- Strong visual design, interaction design, and user journey mapping skills with a sharp eye for detail
- Experience collaborating closely with product and engineering teams in an iterative, agile environment
- Comfort influencing without authority and helping teams align around a shared design vision
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices and inclusive design principles
