Here's how

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Management of Executive Compensation Strategy and Policies: Oversee and manage the strategy and policies related to executive compensation.
  • Primary Contact for Executive Compensation: Serve as the first point of contact for the VP of Total Rewards and P&C Business Partner VPs on matters related to executive compensation.
  • Market Awareness: Maintain external market awareness of executive compensation trends and insights, ensuring TELUS remains market competitive. Ensure compliance with Canadian securities regulations and corporate governance standards related to executive compensation.
  • Institutional Investors: Stay current with ISS (Institutional Shareholder Services) and Glass Lewis policies, particularly their proxy voting guidelines for Canada.
  • Leadership of Market Review: Monitor and assess the competitiveness of executive compensation packages against industry benchmarks.
  • Management Information Circular: Lead the preparation and management of the executive compensation section of the Management Information Circular.
  • PCCC Materials Creation and Coordination: Lead the creation and coordination of materials for the People, Culture, and Compensation Committee (PCCC).
  • People Leadership: Lead a small team of trusted collaborators to elevate our winning culture as a sustainable competitive advantage

  • Analyst: Strong business acumen with experience in financial modeling and creating sound business cases.
  • Problem Solver: Skilled in examining challenges, building recommendations, and executing on those recommendations.
  • Compelling Communicator: Clear and influential in all aspects of communication.
  • Strategic Thinker: Capable of critical and creative thinking.
  • Driver: Proven track record leading and delivering on multiple, complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Decisive: Data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Influencer: Demonstrated experience influencing executives including VPs and Senior Vice Presidents in large organizations 

 

Advanced knowledge of English is required, because you will, most of the time, interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.), interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.), as part of this position's main responsibilities, given its international scope.

 
 

Salary Range:  $108,000-$162,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  20%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
