We get things done, from system integrations, workflow customization, data science, data aggregation and visualization, reporting, business enablement and special strategic initiatives. We have a finger on the pulse supporting TELUS’ Network Build Operations business units with thousands of team members.

You’re a strategic thinker with an expert level skill for capturing business insights and applying them to learning and business decision opportunities for TELUS’ Capability and Modernization team. This highly recognized team has a proven track record for building next-generation technology roadmaps and delivering best-in-class solutions. You will partner with peers, senior leaders and stakeholders to drive out transformational business opportunities using our cutting edge technology platforms. Here’s how

 

  • An in-depth understanding of DevOps practices and experience on maintaining a culture of continuous improvements
  • Display technical leadership on the implementation, deployment, delivery, and the operations of technical solutions managed by the CM team
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen the Capability and Modernization practices such as: sharing expertise to promote technical development, mentoring team members and contractors, building and attending communities of practice and networking with peers
  • Identify and define new process and/or system improvement opportunities
  • Provide specialized consulting, analytical and technical support
  • Works across TELUS IT teams to ensure systems, platform upgrades, network upgrades and security deployments are implemented with minimal impact to production environments
  • Participate in architecture and design review sessions
  • Support revenue generating and cost saving initiatives across business teams - CNP, NBO & CTE 
  • Work with CM SMEs and Development teams in system troubleshooting and performance tuning
  • Provide on-call support of operational issues when necessary
  • Produce documentation related to services, solutions and interfaces
  • Keep informed on technology trends, DevOps, business strategy and continuously develop your own expertise and knowledge
  • Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations

 

 

Qualifications

 

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

 

  • 5 years experience with DevOps delivery
  • 5 years experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing technical people and teams
  • A progressive thought leader who can empower and energize high performing people
  • Proven experience managing system changes without interruption to teams and users
  • Working in a collaborative virtual environment, interfacing with other team members regularly, sharing knowledge via diagrams, discussion, and example
  • An ability to drive to big picture goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • An ability to quickly identify and drive to the optimal solution when presented with a series of constraints
  • Experience automating workflows
  • Experience with API and system integrations

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Experience working in matrix organizational structures in large enterprise organizations
  • Mulesoft and API integration experience
  • Atlassian and Appian workflow development experience 
  • AI & Machine Learning exposure
  • GSuite
  • Prior experience operationalizing enterprise IT systems including processes, governance, and team resources
