Within the Customer Technology Excellence (CTE) business unit, the Strategy, Enablement & Investment Management team leads the strategic planning, program alignment and investment governance across the organization. The Consumer Capital Management team leads the strategic governance and management of investments to deliver targeted outcomes and maximize returns for our customers.


As a Manager of the Consumer Capital team, you’ll be responsible for driving decision making support, governance, and measuring the financial performance of capital investment opportunities required to support new service and product development for the Consumer Wireless and Wireline businesses. This means providing our leadership team with insightful analysis to ensure that we can make the right decisions to support our customers, team members, and shareholders. As these capital investments span across the organization, you will be partnering with a diverse group of leaders where our success will require thoughtful engagement of teams and continuous evolution of our planning approaches.


You are a dynamic, hardworking, and driven leader with a proven track record of financial and business planning and delivering operational performance. You will play a leadership role in the planning and development of capital budgets, the governance of investments, and the driving of efficiency programs.

In a leadership capacity, you will support a high performing team, which is accountable for:


  • Collaborate with your peers in providing capital expenditure outlooks, while maintaining and enhancing resulting financial forecast modeling
  • Ensuring interlock on capital-funded initiatives by working across business units including Finance, Digital, Home Solutions and Mobility Marketing teams
  • Support the preparation and presentation of your portfolio updates at various Marketing Leadership Capital Governance meetings
  • Promote effective capital cost management by identifying savings opportunities through collaboration with peers and leaders across multiple business units
  • Promote and enhance the use of economic models to support prioritized investment decisions
  • Lead projects, deep dive business analyses/ investigations and present insights and conclusions to executive leaders in support of financial decision-making

  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
  • Strong business insight and ability to identify new opportunities and connect the dots between related projects and programs
  • Able to present complex information in an easily understood manner, tailoring communication to diverse audiences to facilitate dialogue and debate
  • Demonstrated financial acumen including forecasting, budgeting, planning and analysis skills
  • Expertise in building and analyzing business cases with demonstrated financial acumen to assess benefits, costs, and risks
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a management position, including leading geographically dispersed/virtual teams
