We are the Customer 360 Data & Strategy team, an integral part of the TELUS Business Marketing BI organization under TELUS Business Solutions. We are accountable for the single-source Canadian Business customer database which consists of TELUS customers, adjacent business unit customers (ADT, TELUS Customer Security, GoCo, TELUS Health, TELUS Agtech), and prospective customers.  The data strategy and data assets we build, maintain, and evolve serve as a cornerstone for TELUS Business Solutions to address the customer’s needs and increase the market share of TELUS through various marketing initiatives. 

What you’ll do

We are seeking a Master Data Business Consultant to deliver on our master of customer data roadmap

  • Own the end-to-end MDM strategy and roadmap for our TELUS Business Marketing BI
  • Provide subject matter expertise and best practice in mastering internal TELUS customer data, adjacent business unit customer data, and external 3rd party data sources
  • Provide leadership on our journey to standardize data from disparate sources
  • Provide leadership and evolve our “fuzzy” name matching capabilities
  • Work closely with our Customer 360 Operations team and our BT partners to integrate platforms
  • Enable the application of data to deliver business value for Go-To-Market campaigns
  • Drive timely and seamless Go-To-Market execution through process automation and/or integration
  • Plan and communicate deliverable timelines to senior level stakeholders



What you bring


  • You have experience in solving the challenges of linking/mapping customer records between multiple data sources, as well as, maintaining the relationships between these dynamic data sources
  • You have experience implementing customer matching platform(s) to identify the customer record as an existing customer vs net new
  • Five or more years of experience in a master data management, architecture or related role, preferably within a consultancy organization
  • You have a strong understanding of the business challenges of duplicate customer records and/or poor data quality and a proven track record on how you have mitigated and/or eliminated these challenges
  • You have a deep passion not only for understanding the data but also the up-stream sources and/or processes that capture the data
  • You are a skilled relationship builder and skilled at prioritization, negotiation and influencing




  • Five or more years of experience with “fuzzy” name matching
  • Subject matter expert in MDM platform(s)
