It’s an exciting time to be a member of the People & Culture (P&C) team who are leading strategies to strengthen the TELUS culture with cutting-edge initiatives and programs. We strive for excellence in everything we do and have an unyielding commitment to inspiring and motivating TELUS team members, retirees, customers, and communities to fulfill our “We Give Where We Live” philosophy. We believe wholeheartedly that we are all stronger together, and this is foundational to our promise to make the future a little friendlier for everyone.

Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together

As a People & Culture Business Partner Consultant supporting leaders in the TELUS Home Solutions, you wear several hats: trusted advisor, consultant, project manager and change agent. Toggling between the big picture and then rolling up your sleeves to do the tactical work is second nature to you. You sit alongside and collaborate with the business leaders to provide thought leadership for People & Culture activities.

You are resilient, pragmatic, humble, and possess a great sense of humor. Your counsel is equal parts logic, analysis and strategy. You have a natural curiosity and appreciate that failure and vulnerability are healthy ways to learn and grow. Your passion to make a difference and how you do things will contribute to the success of our internal clients in creating better outcomes for our customers.

Here’s how

  • Leads by example as an ambassador of our culture; drives change by partnering with business leaders and other internal groups to proactively manage changes impacting team members
  • Fosters ONE team culture by liaising with Centres of Expertise to help drive the evolution of business unit programs and solutions
  • Participates in large-scale ad-hoc people projects such as integration of acquired businesses
  • Experience with HR data analysis. Can leverage available tools, reporting and analysis (compensation, talent movement, etc.) to provide business leaders with key insight and data-driven analysis
  • Provides proactive day-to-day coaching to leaders to help improve team member performance and experience
  • Shares best practices and changes to any People and Culture programs and initiatives and ensures they are successfully adopted in a fair and consistent manner
  • Provides guidance and support across a variety of topics including: performance improvement, conflict resolution, compensation, engagement, integration of acquired businesses, development, recognition and communication
  • Provides employee relations support as needed
