The TELUS Consumer Data Insights Team is looking for a talented, driven, passionate individual with strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Our Team – Data Insights – has a mandate to build the tools and deliver analyses that will improve decision-making speed and quality at TELUS.

You have an optimal mix of business and technical skills honed in a high performance driven business.  You can shift effortlessly between business and technical conversations with stakeholders and peers.  You have strong business analysis, problem solving and critical thinking skills.  You must be willing to roll up your sleeves and get close to the data.

 

Here's how

 

You will:

  • Have a passion for growing our business, the courage to innovate and embrace change in our business intelligence capabilities and embody the spirited teamwork necessary to support stakeholders across a wide variety of teams
  • Use data to understand and resolve complex business challenges
  • Support design and development of CCAI (Contact Center AI) to further evolve the team’s ability to provide actionable insights to the business
  • Coach, mentor and develop a talented team of experienced developers to deliver exceptional insights back to executive leaders / business partners to drive strategic improvement 
  • Create or coach the creation of useful, robust, data visualizations in Google’s Looker tool
  • Drive projects to completion by prioritizing and re-prioritizing work as the business needs evolves

 

 

Qualifications

 

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle if:

  • You love digging into quantitative and qualitative data; you analyze it, pivot it and distill issues to their core to provide the best possible insights and outcomes for customers
  • You have expert knowledge and understanding of global best practices in business intelligence tools (e.g. Domo, Looker)
  • You have advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases (Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery experience is a bonus)
  • You are recognized for your curiosity and growth mindset
  • You have excellent attention to detail, a structured approach to analysis and the ability to develop logical arguments
  • You have a track record for developing relationships with stakeholders and team members
  • You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role and/or related education with demonstrated performance
