Our Connected Home Hardware team researches, ideates, designs, develops and manages consumer technologies to make our customers' interaction with TELUS services faster, seamless and more reliable. Whether finding new ways to connect consumer devices, advancing product form factors or improving machine-to-human interactions, our team is focused on improving our customers' lives by making technology simpler and friendlier to use.

 

We work closely with our engineers, marketing teams, industrial designers and manufacturing partners to guide products from conception through to launch and retirement. We support products like Optik TV, Boost Wi-Fi, SmartHome and more.

 

What you’ll do:

 

You’ll oversee the management of the Employee Market Trial program for our High-Speed Internet and SmartHome lineup of devices while working towards the development and lifecycle of new processes and standards that optimize Employee Market Trials across all of TELUS’ consumer hardware and firmware projects. You will be accountable for the overall end-to-end experience of our employee trials and feedback processes, working to ensure that our products are fully tested before entering the hands of our customers. We are looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring projects are executed successfully, following documentation best practices, and has the ability to lead interdependent projects, working with multiple stakeholders.

 

Specifically you’ll:

 

  • Working with various stakeholders to define cross-product testing strategies and processes
  • Build and maintain a database for product trials and participants including test cases and timelines
  • Manage and own the end-to-end process for identifying, onboarding, tracking and reporting trial group participants as required for multiple product trials
  • Managing, documenting, and tracking issues reported during trials
  • Guide products through the testing process, collecting, analyzing, and presenting information to leadership
  • Develop and manage the lifecycle for a set of new processes and standards that optimize the Employee Market Trial program for all TELUS consumer hardware and firmware products
  • Identify and strategically eliminate blockers and potential risks to testing deliverables

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring:

 

  • Recognized for your expertise in technology product management and product design with consumer technology products
  • Familiarity in one or more of the industries of smart home, mobile, internet, home networking or TV services
  • Strong knowledge of the home networking ecosystem, including LAN networking, WAN networking, Wi-Fi protocols and TV delivery services
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an emphasis on stakeholder management, negotiation, and persuasion
  • Experience analyzing and preparing data sets
  • Experience presenting to large, cross-functional audiences

 

Great-to-haves:

 

  • Experience with success in the full product life cycle, providing product vision/roadmaps, PRDs, and bringing to market complex products on time
  • Deep understanding of user story creation, UX design as well as technical and consumer requirements gathering
  • Ability to set and drive “big picture” strategy, while also providing detailed guidance on individual projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering

Salary Range:  $81,000-$121,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  12%
