The Self-Installation product team is a unique and newly created team with the ambitious goal to create the best and simplest customer experience for our Connected Home Products. We design experiences that will be used by millions of customers so we ensure every process is created with a customer first lens. We believe offering our customers choice will provide more control and convenience while helping them save time and money.

What you’ll do 

As a Product Manager you will ensure every new home that is built in B.C. and Alberta has self-install capabilities, customers choose TELUS and have a best in class set-up experience. You will own the self-install customer journey including, building planning, customer moving in, customer service set-up, customer using their services and customer moving out. 

You will lead cross functional teams to execute new processes, hardware changes and process improvements for anything to do with a brand new customer home. 


  • Manage implementation, optimization and measurement of product and/or process introductions 
  • Define and implement product strategy and requirements to drive self install growth
  • Partner with core product teams and sales channels to create user stories, business cases, and prioritize activities
  • Analyze and present product outcomes and opportunities to senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Collect, assign, and manage channel feedback and process improvements
  • Provide product and delivery support to marketing, channels, operations and back office teams

  • With outstanding communication and presentation skills, you craft compelling messages that resonate with the audience you are presenting to, you have an exceptional eye for detail and an ability to simplify a complex message 
  • Recognized for your interpersonal, relationship building and collaboration skills, you bring groups together to understand the larger picture and are able to help guide people in the direction of outcomes 
  • Noted for your focus on using data to help inform decisions, using your analytically inquisitive mind you help support recommendations and identify opportunities for change




  • Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, engineering or computer science or equivalent practical experience; MBA is an asset
  • Product management, product marketing, project management or similar experience
  • Technical familiarity with one or more of home automation, security, mobile, internet, home networking, TV services
  • Experience working with go-to-market teams and channel/sales partners
