This position sits within the Products and Services team at TELUS, a results oriented, learning based organization that lets you jump right in and take on some of our most challenging projects that will stretch your skills and help you grow. We are one of the few teams in TELUS that have shared responsibilities across both fixed line and wireless lines of business, so you have the rare opportunity to gain experience in our two major lines of business. In addition, we work extensively with internal cross functional teams (from go to market, to CTO, to fieldforce management and operations), as well as external partners therefore you will gain an appreciation for the business, end to end.
Simply put, as part of the Products and Services team at TELUS, your job is to bring cross functional teams together to solve business problems. You will develop your talents in project management, facilitation, presentation skills, product development methodologies like Agile, and structured problem solving methods. All you have to do is bring your passion, your great attitude and grit.
Position Overview:
Team: Consumer Products and Services – Product Management
Role: Manager (people leader, product leader and conductor, strategic thinker and driver of continuous improvement, prioritizor, problem solver, team player, facilitator)
Focus: This is a unique role, where you will lead the Product Management team, a team that is responsible for making our customers’ lives better by providing simple, reliable and meaningful home internet service. While at the same time continuously listening to our customers, driving ease of use, being ruthless with service quality, and providing product innovation. Our end goal is reliable enhanced home internet, ensuring the end to end experience meets our customer needs brilliantly. The team is a results-oriented, learning based group that lets you jump right in and take on some of our most challenging initiatives, allowing you to stretch your skills and help you grow. We work extensively with
internal groups, technical, go-to-market and operations teams so you will gain an appreciation for the business, end-to-end.

Qualifications
What You Bring to the Table
- You will lead and support a team of senior product managers
- You’ll be relentless in your focus on end-to-end life-cycle support and the related customer experience and evolve from reactive to proactive to predictive in your approach. You’ll know when to support, grow or turn-down products and services in your portfolio. You’ll develop your talents in product management with analysis, structured problem solving, project management, process redesign, facilitation, presentation skills, and methodologies such as Agile. All you have to do is bring your passion, your great attitude and grit
- High-level technical knowledge and a focus on how every decision impacts the customer
- You are regarded as a subject-matter-expert for one (or more) of the following:
- fibre network
- copper network
- wholesale networks
- professional and self-install processes
- logistics, forward and reverse
- Wifi technology
- Customer premise hardware
- You have a wide and effective network of contacts and the ability to quickly build and expand
- You are adept with data analytics
- You are a strong all-round communicator; you can form and sell ideas, influence outcomes and lead without authority
- Solid interpersonal skills and self-awareness with the ability to give, take, and act on feedback, in a positive way, ALWAYS
- Technically inquisitive; you are willing to get into the details to the degree that you can own the solution as the business prime or create well-defined solution requirements for partner teams
- Ability to take a holistic view across projects – provide leadership and gain alignment to advance strategic and business objectives when difficult decisions need to be made
- Adept at defining, articulating and maintaining focus on the strategic value to TELUS with the courage to drive difficult decisions throughout the project
- Team player: Must excel in a collaborative and cross-functional setting, with an ability to co- create and execute with other business primes
- PMP designation is an asset
