Here's how

 

As a Project Manager II on the SmartHome & Security – Security Technology & Migration team, your primary responsibility will be to support the management and execution of successful migration programs for our acquired customers and effectively transition them into various TELUS ecosystems. You will ensure that together we deliver on our business objectives while delivering a best-in-class customer experience. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Structure and manage programs, including planning and coordinating individual projects and project teams, to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality commitments while minimizing and mitigating potential obstacles and risks
  • Maximize project team performance by providing team members with a clear sense of direction and an understanding of their respective responsibilities, and by encouraging open discussion of ideas, issues, and competing viewpoints
  • Use your business acumen and talent to translate raw information into actionable strategies and initiatives to improve the end-to-end service support model of our acquired customers
  • Leverage your project and stakeholder management skills to achieve buy-in and alignment on strategy and execution approach on key integration initiatives
  • Defining key success measures and supporting analytic capabilities to support operational readiness and our end-to-end customer experience 
  • Analyze and solve business problems by developing insightful, practical, and sustainable solutions to complex and/or broad challenges / opportunities
  • Build relationships across teams to support project delivery and cross-functional collaboration
  • Synthesize analytics and findings/insights, and ensure it is clearly communicated to stakeholders in business context in order to be able to solve customer/business issues and objectives
  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding key strategic transformational and operational targets of key customer and product migration programs

Qualifications

 

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

 

  • 5+ years’ experience managing and delivering complex programs involving business process engineering, systems development and implementation, and/or change management in a service delivery environment 
  • You have a proven success record in delivering bottom line business, people, and customer benefits through your thought leadership and project management experience
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both business and technical situations and the ability to speak the language of many different audiences
  • You have proven problem-solving, strategic, and analytical capabilities with a convincing track record of setting and delivering against key metrics
  • Understand the importance of change management principles and leverage strategic communication plans/mediums to achieve buy-in 
  • Showcase your systematic approach to solving complex problems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • You are passionate about working in a dynamic, high performance and engaged culture
  • You're innovative and excited about pioneering a new line of business for TELUS
  • With your proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Google Suite (Slides, Docs, Drive, Hangouts, etc.)
  • Proactive in demonstrating your thought leadership as empowered by your genuine curiosity and passion for the business and recommend creative ways to deliver bottom line benefits
  • Exceptional analytical skills with abilities to conduct thorough root cause and fit-gap analysis


Great-to-haves

 

  • Degree in business or technology e.g. engineering, computer science
  • Knowledge of performance improvement and/or project management methodologies and practices e.g. Lean Six Sigma, PMP, etc.
  • Experience in managing cross functional performance improvement projects of large scale and/or complexity
  • Extensive stakeholder management experience including senior executives
  • Experience developing and implementing business improvement solutions is an asset
  • Knowledge and experience in the home security industry and its business and operational key performance indicators is an asset
