What you will do
As a Digital Sales Manager, you’re charged with driving digital sales strategy and execution excellence for existing TELUS customers for one of our customer outcome portfolio areas. As a bridge between our customers, your stakeholders and the broader digital team, you’re responsible for evolving the online sales experience and growing the business by increasing digital-only and assisted sales.
Reporting to a Director in the Digital Sales & Service team, you will collaborate with internal and external delivery teams to create market-leading digital campaigns & offers and drive optimal online sales experiences for our customers. You’ll fixate on new customer acquisition to capitalize on growth opportunities, while also supporting the retention & growth of the existing customer base. You’ll obsess about the sales funnel and find innovative ways to improve conversion at each step of the customer’s digital journey.

- Build and support a highly engaged and performing team, act as a mentor and coach for the team
- Demonstrate digital sales excellence; helping TELUS emulate local and global digital leaders
- Work closely with internal marketing teams and our agency partners on the delivery of digital campaigns and offers
- Collaborate with Senior Stakeholders in the business on digital sales strategy and performance
- Consistently monitor and report on key metrics for the website and leverage data to translate that to actionable strategies
- Identify opportunities for optimization and drive continued enhancements
- Work with a passionate team dedicated in transforming digital for our customers with leading edge technology and processes
Qualifications
You're the missing piece of the puzzle
- Deep understanding of the digital environment (online, mobile and social)
- Comfortable driving discussions from content and page UX to digital campaign strategy to E2E CX and sales process evolution
- Expert with concepts of digital sales and marketing and analytics
- On top of key industry trends that consistently drive changing web requirements
- Ability to anticipate and assess risks, construct contingency plans, and manage change in a complex environment
- Demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, innovation, and out of the box thinking
- Proven leadership, coaching, motivating, goal setting, performance management and human resource management skills
- Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to delegate, monitor and manage high volume workloads
- Ability to effectively solve problem and deal with complex project issues
- Experience navigating and partnering with a large and diverse stakeholder mix
- Ability to work effectively with various levels of management and cross-functional teams
Great-to-haves
- Undergraduate degree
- 5+ years experience digital marketing and/or ECommerce
- Familiarity with TELUS product offerings
- People leadership experience including performance management
- Strong stakeholder management with the ability to traverse complex stakeholder landscapes
- Ability to structure ambiguous asks and deal with conflicting priorities
- Experience using Agile project/task management tools (e.g. JIRA)
