Fleet Strategy & Operations is a dynamic cross functional team responsible for the safe, cost effective, and sustainable support of TELUS' fleet of over 4,000 vehicles. We regularly challenge the status quo and push organizational boundaries to improve how we serve our internal customers with innovative projects including advanced analytics, process automation, and sustainability initiatives.

You're a master problem-solver that enjoys working on multiple projects at a time. You’re keen to learn new things, identify efficiencies, and drive positive change. Leveraging your knowledge in financial analysis and forecasting- you will provide dynamic and timely insights for our key stakeholders, identifying risks and opportunities within the business and driving TELUS profitability. You'll roll up your sleeves and lead projects from cradle to grave, taking full ownership over the opportunities you identify. Your focus on the details and creativity will help TELUS achieve its efficiency targets and serve our customers at a lower cost.


Here's how

 

  • Conduct analyses of our business in order to identify additional opportunities for operational and cost efficiency
  • Liaise with internal financial stakeholders (e.g. Capital & Asset Management, Accounting Policy, Controllers, Taxation, etc.)
  • Prepare monthly reports, variance analysis, and engaging presentations for various stakeholders, including senior management
  • Collaborate on transformational programs and provide project/operational support
  • Support the continual development and management of existing and new processes/tools

 

 

Qualifications

 

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

 

  • Bachelor and/or Master degree in Business, or other related field
  • 3-5 years’ in a similar role and/or related education with demonstrated performance and increasing levels of responsibility
  • Known for your advanced financial, analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills with a sharp eye for quality and detail
  • Demonstrate ownership, initiative, showing a sense of urgency and self-direction
  • Proficient with analytical tool sets, including Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Tableau Desktop
  • Excellent time management, organization skills and ability to prioritize
  • Knack for forging and managing effective relationships with peers and leaders across the organization

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Knowledge of IFRS 16 (International Financial Reporting Standards) 
  • Additional programming (SQL, VBA, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Bilingual (French)
