You have a proven track record in bringing operational reporting leadership to a reporting practice. You will position yourself as a trusted partner with operations and sales stakeholders and work with them to define the roadmap of information that will enable their decision-making.

 

You will develop reporting solutions via automation across various platform tools like Tableau and Domo. You have experience with agile ways of working and a bias for action, which breaks down barriers and get results fast. You will drive the strategy for operational reporting, driving financial impact solutions.

 

You will drive reporting and insights which are timely, accurate, and outcomes-based, in order to drive the right decisions for TCSS.

 

Here's how

 

Supported by the Manager, Business Analysis, your primary responsibilities will be:

 

  • Lead timely and actionable reporting. Providing insights to support decision making across the organization. Develop and drive innovative data models and trend analysis techniques to identify potential business opportunities and challenges
  • Translate business needs into actionable insights, data, and reports and successfully identify, develop and implement process & efficiency initiatives
  • By working collaboratively with VP, Director and Manager Stakeholder teams – providing advice and clarity on their data needs and to ensure their decision-making is enabled in a timely manner
  • Support month end activities to report on results including identification of the root cause of KPI variances & actions required

 

 

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical acumen to differentiate and translate business needs into working requirements for data and pipeline development
  • Exceptional people skills and ability to adapt, enabling you to lead, motivate and influence team members while cultivating good working relationships at different hierarchal levels
  • Expert ability to break down / decompose complex data sets and ambiguous problems to tell meaningful business stories and to effectively communicate complex analysis or results to senior leadership
  • Solid abilities in business analysis, including both quantitative and qualitative analyses, problem-solving skills, and ability to propose more than one solution to a problem
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to set priorities, negotiate, plan and organize activities; ability to achieve the desired results working with minimum supervision

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • 3-5 years of relevant analytical experience in business analysis, financial planning and analysis or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and experience in the home automation and security industry and/or telecommunications/technology industry experience
  • CPA, MBA or university degree in administration, commerce, or in a related field
  • Knowledge of security business models, measures, metrics, and financial KPIs
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel (financial modeling)
  • Working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
