The TELUS Business Solutions (TBS) Post Acquisition Integration (PAI) Team works collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to ensure we maximize the expertise and capabilities of our acquisitions in order to compete more effectively and accelerate growth for TBS. We work with the Business Industry Solutions team to identify potential acquisitions that support our strategic focus on 5G, IoT and other key areas that are core to our future growth. Once we successfully acquire an organization, our team takes the lead to seamlessly integrate the acquired companies into TBS.


The Post-Acquisition Integration (PAI) team is reinventing the future of TELUS Business Solutions (TBS) through the thoughtful integration of the products, people and processes that TBS has acquired. As a Senior Communications Manager, you will be responsible for driving major internal communications as well as the deployment of select external outreach strategies. 
In addition to managing strategic communication initiatives, the individual will support the development and delivery of an integrated communications strategy for each unique business acquisition. This will include helping manage organizational changes, advising senior leaders on internal and external visibility, drafting a variety of communication pieces across a variety of communication channels and working with stakeholders across the organization.

Here’s what you’ll do


Supported by the Director, Business Strategy & Development, your ‘average’ week may consist of building a communications plan for newly acquired team members, drafting a welcome message to the new team, building the presentation for a Town Hall meeting, drafting key messages tied to an organizational change, meeting with our People and Culture team to understand future changes and collaborating on key messages related to the change.


You will produce content targeting different audiences ranging from team-wide emails, internal and external presentations, speeches, customer communications, video scripts, and organizational announcements.

Here are some of the key responsibilities and activities you will lead in this role:


  • Develop and implement integrated communications and change management plans associated with TELUS Business Solutions acquisition activities
  • Develop proactive and reactive communications support to the Vice President of Post Acquisition Integration 
  • Produce content for internal events including presentations, speeches and/or talk notes for senior leadership all-team meetings
  • Identify and execute opportunities to raise profile for our team and our successes across TELUS and to external audiences
  • Help manage strategic event and program based initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders in TBS, Corporate Communications and People & Culture
  • Collaborate with the People & Culture team to develop strategic change management plans and communications guidance for acquisition activities and organizational changes
  • Identify new communications strategies, channels and tools to support overall communications objectives
  • Facilitate and support strategic communications discussions and recommendations at the director and VP level
  • Champion our TELUS culture and values with new TELUS team members

  • You have experience managing organizational change and communications management related to acquisitions
  • You have working knowledge of communications and project management tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel (Adobe Creative Suite is a major asset)
  • Bilingual English-French 
  • 6-8+ years’ experience on a corporate communications team
