Our team and what we'll accomplish together

The Enterprise & Public Business (EPB) team sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. We work with Canada's largest enterprises and public sector organizations to solve their most complex business challenges using TELUS's full product and service portfolio.

Here's what makes this role different: You're not pigeonholed into a single technology stream or vertical. Instead, you get exposure to our entire suite—wireline core services, cloud, data, security, applications, wireless—and you're responsible for connecting the dots to craft integrated solutions that address what our largest customers actually need.

You'll work primarily across Western Canada's enterprise and public sector landscape, supporting our sales teams in going after and winning significant deals. But more importantly, you'll have the influence to position opportunities strategically, recommend solutions that maximize our competitive advantage, and lead cross-functional teams without needing a title to make it happen.

This is rewarding work because you see the impact immediately: your recommendations shape how Fortune 500 companies and government agencies operate.

What you'll do

  • Solution Architecture & Business Case Development - Take complex customer challenges and translate them into comprehensive, financially sound solutions. You'll develop rigorous business cases that model costs, risks, and ROI across TELUS's product suite. Your business case becomes the foundation for how we pitch, price, and position the deal.

  • Strategic Opportunity Positioning - Work alongside sales to identify and size high-value opportunities in Enterprise and Public Sector accounts. You're not just responding to RFPs—you're helping shape what we pitch. You'll analyze competitive positioning, customer pain points, and our portfolio strengths to recommend the optimal path to win.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership - Lead integrated solution teams across wireline, cloud, security, applications, and other TELUS products. You don't have direct authority, but you have influence—the ability to orchestrate discussions, align competing priorities, and drive consensus toward winning solutions. You're the connective tissue between the customer's vision and what TELUS can deliver. Success will hinge on providing best-in-class business consulting expertise and solution development leadership to the account and stakeholder teams within a prescribed corporate Solution and Governance framework

  • Financial & Risk Analysis - Build financial models that account for cost structures, margin, risk mitigation, and customer ROI. You understand the implications of our pricing, delivery complexity, and resource constraints. You make recommendations that are both competitive and profitable.

  • Executive Communication - Present and defend solutions to C-suite and senior stakeholders on both the customer and TELUS side. You translate complex technical concepts into business language. You're comfortable in the room with VPs and above, and they respect your perspective.

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Business Case Development & Financial Acumen - You know how to build a business case that's both persuasive and defensible. You understand financial modeling, cost structures, margin analysis, and how to surface risks before they become problems. You can explain the "why" behind your numbers to skeptical stakeholders.

  • Strategic & Risk Analysis - You see around corners. You identify risks in complex deals—delivery risk, financial risk, competitive risk—and build mitigation strategies. You're rigorous in your thinking and comfortable challenging assumptions, including your own.

  • Executive Presence & Communication - You can hold your own in a room with senior leaders. You're articulate, organized, and credible. You listen as much as you speak. You build trust with people who have very different priorities and agendas.

  • Matrix Leadership & Influence - You're comfortable in ambiguous environments where you need to lead without positional authority. You can align diverse teams around a shared objective. People follow you because you're thoughtful, fair, and they understand where you're going.

  • Consultative Problem-Solving - You don't jump to solutions. You ask the right questions first. You understand customer business models, not just their IT needs. You can craft solutions that are tailored, not templated.

  • Breadth & Adaptability - You're comfortable wearing multiple hats and learning on the fly. You're not an expert in every TELUS product, but you know how to quickly learn and synthesize information across domains. You're curious and self-directed.

Great-to-haves

  • Background in Public Sector or government sales
  • Project management or process discipline (ITIL, PMP, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of competitive landscape in enterprise telecom/IT solutions
  • Business or technology related University degree
Salary Range:  $86,000-$136,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%
