As a senior member of the team, you will work embedded within an agile squad, translating business objectives into actionable deliverables while ensuring our solutions meet detailed client requirements and deliver significant value.
Reporting to the Manager of Product and Services, you will leverage deep product expertise and client insights to drive sprint-level execution of new features and enhancements. You are energized by solving complex problems, collaborating daily with engineering teams, and acting as the critical bridge between client needs and technical implementation.
What you'll do:
- Lead Agile Squad Delivery: Own the product backlog and sprint planning for your agile squad, prioritizing user stories and features that deliver immediate value to clients and align with broader product strategy
- Daily Engineering Collaboration: Work hands-on with engineers on a daily basis, participating in standups, refinement sessions, and technical discussions to ensure shared understanding and remove blockers
- Backlog & JIRA Management: Maintain and groom the product backlog in JIRA, ensuring stories are well-defined, properly prioritized, and ready for development with clear acceptance criteria
- Technical Translation: Act as the interpreter between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts for clients and business requirements into clear technical specifications for engineers
- Client Requirements & Acceptance Criteria: Work closely with clients and other product managers to gather detailed requirements, define user stories, and establish precise acceptance criteria that ensure deliverables meet expectations and quality standards
- Sprint Lifecycle Management: Guide features through the sprint lifecycle from refinement to deployment, including leading sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and demos
- Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, and QA on a daily basis to ensure smooth execution of sprint commitments and timely delivery of increments
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between clients, business stakeholders, and the development team, ensuring alignment on priorities, progress, and any scope adjustments
- Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior Product Owners and team members, sharing best practices in agile delivery, backlog management, and stakeholder collaboration
- Data-Informed Iteration: Use data, client feedback, and sprint metrics to continuously refine the backlog, improve feature quality, and inform tactical product decisions within your squad's scope
