As a trusted partner, you will leverage your strong business & financial acumen and analysis skills to provide meaningful direction to stakeholders and teammates on how to mitigate risk that clients and vendors may present to TELUS. You will provide guidance through the credit adjudication process for large complex commercial transactions, identify where risks may be present and make recommendations on how to mitigate these risks. You will work with stakeholders to ensure deals are contracted/documented correctly and material transactional and credit risks are mitigated.

Here's how

As a senior leader, you will…

  • Perform in-depth financial analysis of businesses looking to do business with TELUS.  Using your analysis skills, you will assess the level of risk a client presents to TELUS and give direction to the team on how (if) to onboard the client
  • Play a key role in supporting the Bid Governance process and ensuring all bids meet credit adjudication standards. This includes influencing appropriate language and conditions to be included in contracts with clients and/or vendors
  • Collaborate with stakeholders. You will have a key role in leading, driving, and influencing key strategic decisions. Your opinion will be sought by TELUS leadership
  • Support Procurement processes by performing financial & credit analysis on TELUS vendors to ensure their viability
  • Lead a risk assessment process to identify and review high risk accounts receivables, including establishing and monitoring an action plan to resolve concerns
  • Coach/mentor Business Credit Services team members on credit assessment best practices as appropriate
  • Manage conflicting priorities, issues, risks, dependencies, etc. to ensure goals are met and results are delivered per plan
  • Perform analysis on business situations to discern the story of “what”, “why” and the “so what”
  • Help design or improve new and existing processes that increase the efficiency of credit assessment workflows
