Are you passionate about training, knowledge management, continuous learning and thrive in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for an experienced learning specialist to join our LEAD, Coaching and Leadership Development team within the CDO Strategy and Transformation business unit. Your primary focus will be on creating content and facilitating training for TELUS leaders within the Chief Development Office in support of their digital transformation initiatives.
As part of delivering a great learner experience, you will be responsible for leading in the identification, design, planning and execution of learning strategies, processes, systems and programs to help our leaders accelerate change and lead with a coach like approach. In addition, you will perform in-depth analysis and design of training requirements, as well as the development, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Maintain learning materials and library of learning modules, ensuring documentation is current and relevant Ownership for end to end curricula
- Create, maintain and update leadership resource library and digital learning assets
- Collaborate with senior members of the LEAD team and the business to understand objectives/strategies and desired results from learning opportunities
- Assess business unit training needs and recommend appropriate solutions. Recommend effective and creative learning solutions to meet stakeholder needs
- Proactively identify opportunities in training curriculum with business development and evolution
- Facilitate engaging and interactive learning events for leaders cross-functionally across CDO
- Manage and/or design, develop, assess and implement components of complex reinforcement tools and appropriate learning solutions
- Meet with stakeholders and/or project team pre and post class to ensure to gather feedback on curriculum
- Recommend non training related solutions and/or alternative to training requests where appropriate
Qualifications

Required Skills & Abilities
- Experience in delivering high impact training events that make learning sticky for participants
- Understanding of Adult Education principles and processes
- Excellent communications skills including written, verbal and presentation
- Skilled in development, facilitating and evaluating
- Effective organization and time management skills
- Experience with project management
- Experience with interactive learning tools such as Miro, Google Classroom, Retroboards,Crowdsourcing tools
Preferred Professional Designation/Certification
- Post-secondary degree/certificate (Adult Learning and/or HR related field of expertise) or equivalent years of work experience in progressive positions
Required Experience
- 7-10 years of equivalent experience
