The Smart Home & Security Marketing team is on a mission to bring peace of mind and convenience to Canadians across the country. Our continuum of superior solutions help people automate their tech and protect their homes, data, and personal safety. We generate demand for these solutions by building awareness, shaping perceptions, earning trust and credibility, and leading people down the path to purchase. This specific role will be the marketing lead for solutions that empower Canadians to take control of their home with the help of smart tech and an easy-to-use platform.
What you’ll do
As a Senior Market Manager, you will unlock opportunities to scale the growth of SmartHome+ and SmartEnergy. With an analytical mindset and a creative approach to problem-solving, you will generate ideas and make recommendations for how to achieve business and marketing goals, with a relentless focus on optimizing performance based on data, insights, and experimentation.
You will own these initiatives end to end, taking the lead on planning, development, execution, and performance analysis alongside cross-functional partners with expertise in communications, sales, digital marketing, research, data, and more. These projects may take the form of advertising campaigns, sales promotions, multi-product bundling strategies, audience segmentation strategies, partnerships, and more—you’ll be empowered to explore different methods to drive demand and acquire new customers, finding inventive new ways to accelerate growth as our business evolves.
You will be supported by the Manager of Smart Home & Security Marketing, as well as a close-knit yet diverse team of marketing professionals.
Qualifications
What you bring
- Five or more years of experience managing complex marketing projects end to end, from planning and strategy development to execution and optimization
- A reputation for being collaborative, positive, solution-focused, and action-oriented
- Ability to thrive while working both autonomously and collaboratively, even in situations with a high degree of ambiguity, with a self-directed and proactive approach to identifying necessary steps to move forward with confidence
- Proven aptitude for spearheading projects with cross-functional teams, resulting in a solid track record of meeting deadlines and achieving objectives
- A talent for uncovering the insight beneath the data, and a relentless drive to continually optimize performance with keen analysis
- Strong to masterful verbal, written, and visual communication skills, enabling you to lead executive-level presentations on complex subjects
- Natural curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, along with an eagerness to apply insights from domestic and global trends
Great-to-haves*
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications—or related post-secondary education
- Marketing experience in medium to large businesses or enterprise organizations
- Above-average understanding of the smart tech and/or home energy management markets
