The TELUS Mall and Experiential Event Tour team is a dynamic, innovative, and forward-thinking marketing team that gets things done. From strategic planning, execution, and reporting, our team delivers best-in-class customer experiences across the mall, retail, and event space, while driving brand awareness and sales.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • As the Senior Marketing Manager, you will support the Go-To-Market activities of the Mall and Event Tour program, and lead the expansion of the National Events program to expand TELUS’s brand awareness, market penetration, and customer base across Canada.
  • Work with cross-functional teams such as product marketing, sales and agency partners to ensure all in-market campaigns are brought to life within the mall, retail, and event space.
  • As a strong negotiator, communicator, and presenter, you will also be responsible for supporting the Marketing Development Fund on behalf of the Mall and Event Tour team, where you will secure funding from internal and external partners to support the monetization of the program.
  • As both a strategic and creative marketer, you will develop and champion the quarterly Go-To-Market Event strategy (planning, logistics, scheduling, budgeting, and asset creative development)
    • You will focus on identifying opportunities to drive sales within the Event space, while also spearheading the creative development of experiential marketing assets.
    • You will collaborate with agency partners and cross-functional teams to ensure strategic community event bookings, scheduling, and in-market presence that align with overall team business goals, objectives, and KPIs.
    • With a knack for capturing business insights and applying them to drive program success, you will be responsible for ensuring all event activity is producing a strong ROI, budget is spent efficiently and results are communicated effectively across the leadership team.

What you bring

 

  • Innovative Marketer - you have 5+ years experience within a Marketing role where you supported projects from inception to launch
  • Self-starter – able to work independently; anticipates needs and takes initiative
  • Analytical – data-driven and inquisitive, able to synthesize multiple data points into a clear story with actionable insight
  • Project Management Skills – experience leading large, complex cross-functional projects and overlooking budgets
  • Organized – excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Problem Solver – able to easily pivot and find new, innovative solutions
  • Team-oriented – exceptionally strong interpersonal skills, works well with individuals across teams
  • Collaborative – confident in engaging a broad set of stakeholders and collaborating with all levels of the leadership team
  • Results Driven – proven track record driving results and delivering or exceeding sales targets

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications
  • Experience working with or for a marketing agency
  • Experiential event marketing execution
  • Bilingualism (English and French)
