TELUS’ IoT Connectivity Platforms minimize the complexity and cost of managing connected assets for customers so they can run a more profitable IoT business. They allow customers to launch, manage and monetize their connected assets with real-time visibility and timely control.

 

As the Senior Product Manager for our global connectivity platform and device certification solutions, you will provide commercial product stewardship and direction for our team, including:

 

  • Developing and implementing an effective product strategy and tactics related to SaaS-based pricing, bundling, positioning, product lifecycle, placement, promotion, service guidelines, partnerships and client needs
  • Supporting the market and financial performance of the existing platforms (including Revenue, Customer deal criteria/standards, Operating Profit, Free Cash Flow, Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, Discounted Payback, and Return on Investment and accountability for P&L)
  • Regularly evaluating the effectiveness of product performance in relation to sales and marketing objectives, financial and operational performance and the competitive environment
  • Developing, managing and optimizing multiple end to end value chains with accountable sub-process owners; Respond to production and service delivery issues and ensure resolution in a timely manner
  • Using Likelihood to Recommend, primary and secondary market research and review of the competitive landscape to recommend solutions to better support and/or reposition existing or new products
  • Collaborating on cross-functional teams across all business units to manage margin, enable product/service delivery, methods to better support products, and supporting the delivery of integrated customer solutions through the effective influencing of stakeholders
  • Analyzing and anticipating trends and developing, owning and maintaining a product roadmap and business requirements through the understanding of market, customer, regulatory and technology trends

You are likely in a similar product role today, with many of the abilities and experience points, below: 

 

  • You have worked with IoT platforms including SIM management platforms, device management platforms and data visualization platforms
  • You are familiar with IoT security practices and technologies
  • You are also familiar with hyperscale technologies and applications in IoT and multi-access edge compute (MEC)
  • You are known for your project and process management skills and the ability to apply Agile to product development initiatives and market attracting design thinking skills to create solutions
  • You are relationship focused, able to connect and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders and contacts
  • You are renowned for product management, able to develop, maintain and optimize end to end value chains associated with TELUS products and services
  • You demonstrate business acumen and have knowledge of financial concepts including revenue, costs and profitability

 

Great to haves:

 

We are especially motivated to connect with individuals with one or more of the following:

 

  • You have likely worked with tools like JIRA, MS Project, VISIO, PowerPoint and Excel, or Google Workspace
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent (MBA an even greater asset)
  • Familiarity with telecommunications and B2B Systems, Information, Processes & Governance, to architect current and future modes of operation, in specific domains of focus (like Fulfillment, Billing, etc.) 

 

Please note that this is a temporary position, covering a Team Member’s maternity leave.

 

 

Salary Range:  $96,000-$144,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%
