Description

Join Our Team and What We'll Accomplish Together

The Senior Product Manager, SMB Internet Portfolio will develop and execute a strategic, data-driven product roadmap for TELUS Business' Fibre and Copper Internet services — the core connectivity products that power thousands of Canadian small and medium businesses.

We're at a critical inflection point: SMBs are demanding smarter, more integrated connectivity solutions, and we're investing to reposition our portfolio for this shift. In this role, you'll own the strategy, lifecycle, and performance of a critical connectivity portfolio that directly impacts how SMB customers run and grow their businesses. Your decisions will shape how TELUS wins in the SMB connectivity market.

You'll report to the Manager, Product & Services, and while this role does not include a permanent direct team, you'll be expected to lead cross-functional project teams and present strategic recommendations to the Leadership Team. You'll partner across Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Systems, and Engineering to drive outcomes.

This role requires a product leader who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, solving complex business problems, building high-conviction business cases, and influencing teams across the organization. You will also leverage AI, automation, and data-driven insights to improve how we manage the portfolio, identify opportunities, and create better customer and team member experiences.

What You'll Do

Own Portfolio Strategy & Performance

Take end-to-end accountability for the Fibre and Copper Internet portfolio, including strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, and performance.

You will:

  • Develop and execute a data-driven product roadmap that supports customer growth, revenue performance, profitability, retention, and long-term portfolio evolution

  • Own product performance reporting across key metrics (sales, revenue, churn, customer adoption, customer experience, operational performance, capital realization)

  • Drive product lifecycle management activities, including offer simplification, base management, migrations, pricing changes, legacy product decisions, and portfolio modernization

  • Own the strategic positioning and competitiveness of the portfolio in the SMB market

Lead New Service Development & Innovation

Identify, evaluate, and launch new products, services, and capabilities that create customer value and support TELUS' growth objectives.

You will:

  • Build strong business cases and capital investment proposals, including market sizing, financial analysis, ROI, risks, dependencies, and success metrics

  • Use market analytics, customer insights, performance data, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities, portfolio gaps, and product improvement areas

  • Lead new service development initiatives from opportunity identification through business case, funding, requirements, launch, adoption, and post-launch performance management

  • Leverage AI, automation, and advanced data insights to improve product decision-making and identify emerging opportunities

Drive Data-Informed Decisions

Translate complex business and technical insights into clear product strategies and actionable recommendations.

You will:

  • Analyze customer, operational, financial, and market data to guide strategic decisions

  • Identify growth opportunities, performance gaps, and product improvement areas

  • Develop high-conviction recommendations backed by evidence and presented in executive-ready narratives

  • Champion a culture of disciplined prioritization and measurable outcomes

Influence Across Functions

Lead through influence rather than authority, aligning multiple teams around shared outcomes.

You will:

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, GTM, Pricing, Finance, Operations, Systems, and Engineering teams to launch and optimize offers, capabilities, and customer experiences

  • Lead cross-functional teams through ambiguous and complex problems, turning unclear business needs into actionable plans and decisions

  • Refine positioning, messaging, enablement, and channel readiness for SMB connectivity products in partnership with Marketing and Sales

  • Interlock with technical and systems teams to influence product capabilities, operational improvements, and future roadmap priorities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing clear recommendations and thoughtful trade-off decisions

  • Develop strong influencing skills — managing up and sideways to align stakeholders on strategic priorities

Build Product-Led Capabilities & Culture

Help shift the organization toward a product-led, customer-backed operating model.

You will:

  • Champion customer-backed decisions and evidence-based problem solving across teams

  • Mentor and support junior product managers by sharing product practices, portfolio knowledge, and structured approaches to problem solving

  • Stay ahead of evolving SMB customer needs, telecom market trends, competitor movements, and technology shifts

  • Model product leadership excellence and continuous learning
