Hot on the heels of our market debut in 2018, TELUS is now the largest security provider in Canada and making its mark in the rapidly growing home automation industry.   We’re growing fast and elevating traditional home security with smart devices and home automation to provide greater control and convenience, increased savings, and resource conservation opportunities to our customers.

As our customer base has grown, so has our team!  We are the hub of the SmartHome Security business and tie all the TELUS teams together in driving the most value to our customers and to our business. We’re looking for a strong professional that will help us evaluate, develop and realize new value proposition and service opportunities within our portfolio so we can continue leading the way for our customers. 

Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together

You will work across a variety of groups within TELUS to define and bring the vision for new services to life, by discovering high growth opportunities and delivering new security and smart automation solutions in the consumer market. You will also forge and manage relationships with product integration partners across multiple industries for TELUS SmartHome Security.

  • Prioritize and secure resources for new opportunities
  • Conduct data investigation to develop insights and opportunities for new customers or additional revenue streams
  • Develop business cases and evaluate customer use cases to create recommendations for our business strategy 
  • Work across partnership teams to gain support from leadership and interlock with our adjacent TELUS teams 
  • Define the vision, strategy and multi-year service development roadmap to realize business and customer experience objectives 
  • Work with cross-functional TELUS teams to deliver upon product roadmap and launch new products and services 
  • Champion new services and rally organization to support key goals 
  • Drive key business outcomes, measure, report on and leverage key performance indicators, using dashboards and reports to help measure operational metrics





You're the missing piece of the puzzle


  • Passion and interest in smart consumer technologies
  • Proven track-record of new technology product and service introduction; expertise with go-to-market and channel execution 
  • With a focus on delivering customer value in a creative and dynamic environment
  • Known for your ability to communicate across groups, and cultivate strong working relationships with a large extended project team and influence those around you
  • With a knack for presentation and storytelling, you craft clear, concise and compelling messages
  • Recognized for using data, and your proven financial acumen to make recommendations and drive decisions and action
  • Ability to drive change on an end-to-end basis across multiple stakeholders and business units, including external vendors
  • 10+ years of experience; progressive experience in product management or project management or equivalent




  • Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, engineering or computer science or equivalent practical experience; MBA is an asset
  • Service Design experience
  • Background in business development and / or experience developing product partnerships
  • Knowledge of TELUS enterprise systems and experience working with engineering teams
  • Working knowledge in one or more of the industries of home automation, energy, wearables, security, mobile, internet, home networking, TV services
