Our team, TV Product Development, in the Connected Products & Experiences team, bridges the business and technical worlds. We design, build and enable capabilities that provide great video consumption experiences for customers while achieving the best business outcomes for TELUS. Our vision is to transform and expand our platforms to deliver the best content-led, aggregated entertainment solution across Canada in a video market that is increasingly dynamic and including streaming and traditional broadcast content providers. We strive to be a leader in the market for innovation, clear and simple user experience, and content discovery.

 

What you’ll do…

 

As Senior Product Manager, Video Services Expansion, you will expand the reach of our video products, whether on new access technology types or in new geographies. Your portfolio will focus on developing the roadmap for and driving execution of expanding our TV offerings, supporting TELUS in ways to drive revenue and subscriber growth. You’ll closely interlock and manage delivery across diverse teams in the organization including: our video technical teams (other product managers, technical product owners, designers, developers, engineers and architects); our regulatory, legal and content provider management teams; our CIO development teams; and our go-to-market/channel readiness teams. You’ll take ownership in leading all these teams across the organization to deliver on your feature and tv service availability vision.

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring…

 

  • Known for your work in developing product strategy, solid business case justifications, risk assessments, and forming decisions backed by research, data and industry/competitive insights
  • Proven experience in managing and reporting on project delivery across multiple diverse stakeholder teams with a strong bias for urgency and simplicity
  • An effective storyteller, who has the ability to simplify information and explain technical concepts, scope/schedule tradeoffs, functional and nonfunctional requirements, and how features are delivered to any audience
  • Noted for your curious mind and interest in navigating complex problems, evaluating technical implementation options, and assessing development feasibility, effort, and dependencies
  • Recognized for your ability to think outside the box, challenge the status quo and experiment with new approaches, tools, and techniques to improve value delivery to our business and consumer end-users
  • A passion for technology, entertainment and the digital home in general with inquisitiveness and curiosity to learn more

 

Great-to-have’s...

 

  • Experience in any combination of product management, software development, and technical project/program management
  • PMP, agile, lean certifications or relevant experience
  • Working knowledge and experience with APIs, HLDs and cloud services
  • MBA is an asset

 

 

Salary Range:  $100,000-$150,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
