We are searching for a Sr. Program Manager to drive transformation and innovation in the Quality program to benefit the Customer Network Implementation (CNI) wireline build team. In collaboration with our internal and partner teams, we are looking to provide enhanced value and returns for our world class network, and the associated customer experiences we are enabling. 

 

  • CNI is TELUS’ owner of fiber asset investments across BC and Alberta
  • We invest in networks to help connect BC and Alberta residents and businesses to the internet
  • The Quality team helps govern, direct and engage CNI in building the most reliable network in the world, thru
  • Pioneering new methods to deliver quality end to end

As a Senior Program Manager you will be directing the integration and expansion of the quality program through the virtualization of quality inspections, evolution of the quality management platform and promoting the road to flawless data management and records. You will prime transformation & strategic programs as an innovation agent. You will partner with functional teams that focus on operational delivery of our networks, financial management, customer sales and installs.

You will help our broader CNI and TELUS teams to reinforce quality from the design of our network to the delivery to our customers and will advance the following key activities:

 

  • Virtualization of quality audits and inspections
  • Evolve on-demand quality proofing through crowdsourcing and integration with TELUS field activities
  • Expand quality assurance to ensure flawless data management and records to enable self activation services for our customers
  • Refine relationships and build hand-over expectations to our reliability, marketing and customer facing stakeholders 

 

Here's how


As a Sr. Program Manager, you will support QA’s most important programs by:

 

  • Structured delivery including opportunity identification, business case development, prioritization, process development, launch and review
  • Helping deliver QA initiatives through stages of delivery (either by directly owning specific projects, or by aiding other QA project managers to deliver the initiatives)
  • Focusing initiatives to deliver tangible business value, by identifying key decisions that need to be made, and facilitating a fair process to confirm the decisions, and managing stakeholders to execute
  • Owning the storyboarding for sponsor engagement
  • This could include preparing agendas and content for executive discussions, and facilitating major parts of these discussions (and guiding others to facilitate remaining parts of these discussions)

 

 

Qualifications

Your background learning brings value to the role. We are looking for:

 

  • Bachelor degree or 3+ years of equivalent experience
  • MBA, CPA, PMP and/or other post-graduate education, designation or certification preferred
  • Experience as part of a business functional team or project management group that has delivered operational results
  • Experience in consulting, strategy or process / system improvement 
  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, Agile or other process improvement methodologies

To succeed in your role, you will want to be skilled in:

 

  • Proven track record of delivering functional / operational results (not just developing processes or systems)
  • Your experience should include management of scope, schedule, costs and risks.Structured program management: Delivery of new capabilities in recognizable sprints or iterations which advanced a strategic roadmap of improvements, new opportunities and process fixes
  • Facilitation of large groups including fair-process interlock with functional leadership and technical systems development groups
