What you’ll do

 

As the Senior Program Manager for Data Products, you'll be the operational backbone ensuring our flagship data products are delivered on time, on budget, and with exceptional quality, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Data Products. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Own Product Delivery: Lead end-to-end delivery of key data products, managing timelines, dependencies, risks, and resources across complex, multi-team initiatives
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as the central coordination point across product, engineering, data science, clinical, legal, compliance, sales, marketing, and customer success teams
  • Global Go-to-Market Leadership: Design and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for global product launches, including market readiness, training, enablement, and rollout sequencing
  • Program Governance: Establish and maintain program management frameworks, processes, and rituals that drive accountability and transparency
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on program status, milestones, risks, and dependencies, ensuring alignment and informed decision-making
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues that could impact delivery timelines or product quality
  • Change Management: Lead organizational change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new products and capabilities across internal and external stakeholders
  • Vendor & Partner Coordination: Manage relationships with external vendors, partners, and service providers critical to product delivery
  • Process Optimization: Continuously improve program management practices, tools, and methodologies to increase team efficiency and delivery predictability
  • Metrics & Reporting: Define and track key program metrics, providing data-driven insights to optimize delivery performance and business outcomes
  • Launch Excellence: Coordinate product launch activities including beta programs, pilot deployments, customer communications, and post-launch support
  • Budget Management: Track program budgets, manage resource allocation, and ensure financial accountability across initiatives

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring

 

  • Program Management Excellence: 7+ years of program or project management experience, with at least 3 years managing complex, cross-functional technology programs in data, AI/ML, or SaaS environments
  • Healthcare Experience: Background in healthcare, health tech, or employee benefits, with understanding of clinical workflows, population health, or wellness solutions
  • Data Product Expertise: Proven experience delivering data-driven products, analytics platforms, or AI/ML solutions from concept to market
  • Go-to-Market Proficiency: Demonstrated success leading global product launches, including market readiness, enablement, and rollout execution
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Exceptional ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams in matrixed organizations
  • Agile & Methodologies: Deep expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and program management frameworks with relevant certifications (PMP, PgMP, or equivalent)
  • Technical Acumen: Strong technical understanding to effectively communicate with engineering and data science teams, with ability to grasp AI/ML concepts and data architectures
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, with experience presenting to executive leadership and creating compelling program narratives
  • Problem-Solving: Proven track record of navigating ambiguity, solving complex problems, and making sound decisions under pressure
  • Tools Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency with program management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Asana, Monday.com, MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Global Perspective: Experience managing programs across multiple geographies, time zones, and cultural contexts
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or Healthcare Administration preferred

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Background in management consulting or transformation programs
  • Experience with customer success and adoption metrics for B2B SaaS products
  • Experience with design thinking, lean startup, or innovation methodologies

 

 

Salary Range:  $97,000-$145,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location. Additionally, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
